It is a great gezegde

 It is a great experience. The two teams I coached on the men's side were some of the most exciting moments in my coaching life. Obviously winning NBA Championships and CBA Championships and being in the WNBA Finals are all highlights. But playing and coaching for your country in a gold medal game is pretty intense.

 Matthew is like a replica of Tony Ayala when he was younger. He's got the same style, but not the same temperament by the way, as he boxes in the same way. I've been coaching him since he was about fourteen and he won National Schoolboy Championships and Junior ABA Championships. He won a Gold Medal boxing for England in the Multi Nations by knocking out all four of his opponents. Matthew is one of these exciting kids who comes along now and again and he's developing quite nicely.

 We have been so close to beating the Americans in the past two Olympic finals. And this year we want to get some wins over them here in Australia, just to prove we can do it, and then we want to beat them in the gold medal game at the world championships in Brazil.

 It's a dream, it's fantastic. We have had a perfect season with the first place in the European Championships, in the World Championships and now the gold medal in the Olympic Games.

 To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

 We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

 He coached attitude, and he coached being a positive person twice as much as he coached football. And that's something I've taken with me my entire life. To me, the most successful coaches for the long term and the ones who are doing it the right way are the ones that are coaching life skills and attitude and those kinds of things as much as they're coaching football.

 I respect everything about Sheryl, how she's handled herself on and off the court. To me, she will always be one of the greatest ambassadors for the game of women's basketball and as a person has helped me win four (WNBA) championships and two gold medals.

 We are pleased to have Ken on board. He has had experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. He's been extremely successful as a coach, winning state championships in high school and coaching in the NCAA tournament. He is from the desert area (Phoenix) and will fit in well in El Paso.

 It feels great to be part of a team transaction, because diving is an individual sport. The last three rounds of the finals were really close. It was pretty intense feeling, and I liked it a lot because it made me try harder and made me get the gold medal. I couldn't ask for anything more.

 It's so great to be standing in front of you representing what this university has always been about: winning championships, national championships.

 I'm thrilled to death for him. We basically cut our teeth together in coaching, and here he is coaching in the ultimate game. It's a great achievement. To see one of your friends at the top of his profession is always exciting.

 When we thought about playing for the gold medal, in our heads our vision was always playing against the Americans. It was definitely a surprise. They've been a great team. But it's also an exciting game for Sweden.

 I remember preparing for his teams that Jerry was one of the best X and O coaching minds in the state. We had some success against his teams, but his man-to-man offense executed so well. I definitely think he is one of the best to coach in the state. He had winning teams wherever he coached.

 When I was coaching, I couldn't be completely fair to the teams I didn't see. I would usually pass [voting in the coaches' poll] on to other people. I just didn't have time. Now, not only do we have the time, but we look at 20 game tapes each week. I know more about college teams throughout the country than I ever did when I was coaching.

 He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.
