 To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.  A lot of people expect Kentucky to play on the weekend. We've been down here since Thursday, and we've been fighting two games. We've made it to the weekend, and we'll just keep it going game by game.

 We're taking it game by game and it's been a pretty good start so far. We're just trying to work out the kinks in non-league games so we can be sharp both offensively and defensively in our game.

 It's been a while since we were in a shootout. We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me. We talk about one play setting up another play. Some of these games set up another game. We've been running the ball. Those games set up this game.

 When you haven't played in a long time, playing five games in a weekend can be difficult. We need to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready to play every game all through the weekend.

 This is the type of game our league needs to start taking a look at. Playing teams with similar size, speed and talent. I think going to a 12-game schedule, it's very difficult for a mid-major to find games. We need to look more at some of these games.

 You don't go in thinking how many can we win by and that's not the point of the game. The point of the game is if we do what we're supposed to do, we're going to win. But as you look at the game, you try to find areas where you know down the road are going to help you. The fact that we didn't turn the ball over (is good). We, for long stretches, got the right shot at the right time. We executed some things pretty well.

 I don't think anybody in this locker room expected to be one game under .500 at this point. I don't think anybody expected to be one game under any time this season. We can talk about it, but now it's time to just show up and play ball.

 It's very difficult to win road games, but it's hard to win homes games (too). If, all of a sudden, you don't play well -- a game where you don't make shots or where you're not on top of your game defensively -- you really run the risk of losing regardless of where the game is being played ... This league is very demanding, very difficult.

 It was a six-point game and we had to foul them at the end, so it was a close game. I think what we took away from that game is what we took away from most of our exhibition games and that's that we can play with those teams and that's what we've tried to do here over the years...because the girls are not the least bit worried about who we play.
