He's just a great gezegde

 He's just a great kid. He's my roommate and a fun kid with all kinds of energy. He makes me a better basketball player because I have to guard him in practice all the time.

 He's a character. In practice he's cracking jokes all the time to get us going. When we're going in practice, if somebody fouls him he'll exaggerate it and make all kinds of noise. It's just simple stuff like that that makes us laugh. He's a big, great guy.

 Dee's a prime-time player. I'm biased, but he's probably the best basketball player in the country. He has a great amount of energy, and everything he says to you is real. He's not going to sugarcoat anything. We definitely feed off of that.

 The quarterback was Condredge Holloway part of the time, but Randy Wallace and Pat Ryan also played. Larry Seivers was my roommate. He was a two-time All-America (receiver) while I was there. Stanley Morgan was a tailback and wingback from South Carolina. He ran back kickoffs. He was a great football player. The first day I saw him I said, 'oh,' because I was a cornerback and would have to defend him in practice. He could play today. Andy Spiva still holds the record for the most tackles in a career.

 (Wade) was real efficient against Portland. He was 13-for-19 tonight, 11 assists. When they load up on (Heat center Shaquille O'Neal ), it makes the defense guard him or not guard him. He's such a great pick-and-roll player.

 My roommate coaches at Pearl River (Community College), and I had told him he may want to look at her. They're recruiting her. I think she's big enough at the guard spot, and she handles the ball well enough and is physical. Even someone a little quicker is not going to take it from her. She's a very instinctive player.

 We love Maya; I could go on and on. Maya has a great desire to get better every time she steps on the court. She?s never complacent. And as much as she wants to improve on the court, she sees basketball as a tool to make a difference. Maya is far more than a great basketball player; she?s a great person. I have been blessed to have one of her because most coaches go through their entire career and not even come close to being able to coach a player like her. The kid is special.

 I thought our bench had a lot of energy tonight. What's great is all these kids on the team come to practice everyday, and they practice really hard and they don't always get a lot of playing time, so whenever you can (play them) it's great.

 He is a great player and a tremendous leader for us. What makes him stand out is he is totally dedicated to basketball. He spent a ton of hours making himself a better player.

 Roy was a great motivator, a guy with great energy, ... He was a very good practice coach. He had a way of keeping everybody enthusiastic and fired up every day, and that's important when you are dealing with a long season like you do in basketball.

 She is an all-around great player in all aspects of the game. She makes the kinds of passes you see on TV, which brings people to the gym.

 He has great, great timing and great leaping ability. But most of all he has a great desire to go get it. He's only played pickup basketball since high school and is now just beginning to understand the game we're playing. He's very difficult to guard.

 They've got such great balance on that team. They've got big guards, just like he [Capel] was [as player for Duke]. They're good off the dribble and they can shoot the basketball. For us, they're tough to guard.

 You can definitely say, 'great player' of Gilbert now. He does what great ones do, in practice, after practice, in the games. You can definitely say it now. Look at the way he leads, which has to be important. I missed a three-pointer on the break and he said, 'Shoot it every time.' I had a pretty tough first half, but the way he talked to me and stayed with me meant a lot.

 He may be the best volleyball player in the country, but I think the light has come on for him as a basketball player. There's a lot to be said about that. Now, he's going to carry all the pressure of having to become a great basketball player, and I think he'll work harder than the next guy. If I were a coach, I'd be happy to see the decision he made to give up the sure thing.
