I couldn't be prouder of my kids for the effort that they showed tonight. It was a good ballgame. I think that we surprised them a bit and played well for three quarters, but I think that we lost some legs in the last quarter.

We worked hard over the break, practicing every day including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, on coming out with more intensity in those quarters. The third quarter has been our nemesis all year long and we played well in the third quarter tonight. I think that made the difference in the ballgame.

I thought it was a real team effort tonight. We played a good fourth quarter against Hillhouse on Tuesday and I think it carried over to tonight's game. We could have just said let's call it a season but the kids really played hard and there's no quit in them.

We pretty much cleared the benches by early in the third quarter. We played a lot of kids, which was nice, ... I would say a large number of kids had two or more quarters. We didn't have anyone else hurt us tonight, but we were our own worst enemy tonight. I thought we played scared tonight. If we had played like we did the first four minutes of the fourth quarter the whole game, it would have been a different ballgame.

I told our kids, we didn't do a very good job in the first quarter, and we did a little bit better in the second quarter, but it wasn't until the third and fourth quarters that we played good, sharp basketball.

I can't be any prouder of our effort and I thought Princeville played great basketball. If they shoot one percentage lower then they don't win. We executed everything we wanted to, we played hard defense and I thought we rebounded pretty well considering their size advantage. I couldn't ask for a better effort.

It was a good win against an excellent, excellent program. We talked about wrestling with emotion, keeping the emotional intensity and our whole staff couldn't be prouder of our team's effort tonight.

I was pleased with the kids effort tonight. We were good defensively all four quarters, which is what we need.
