 They are an excellent team. They beat Alton and we know how good Alton was this year. They've beaten some good teams and have played very well this season.

 They've played some good teams already. Like I told our kids, we haven't played Alton or East St. Louis yet like they have, so we could be in the same boat,

 Winning the conference this year is an outstanding achievement for our team. Alton is obviously a very good team.

 Civic Memorial is a good team. And if we can get past that one, then Taylorville and Alton are no slouches, either. Like I said, we're going to have our hands full. All of those teams are capable of beating anybody on any night.

 Our top priority this week is to play good defense because Alton can beat you in a lot of different ways. They can play ball control, grinding it out for eight or nine minutes, or they can complete a 70-yard pass, like they did against us last season. Our defense is going to have to be ready for anything.

 I know the kids aren't going to give up, and they didn't. They're competitors, and they're going to compete. It's just we can't dig ourselves a 17-point hole in the first half and beat teams like Alton.

 Alton's very good. They ran a lot of good offense. Our guys had to play hard and smart to guard them. Holding them to 37 was outstanding, considering all the good stuff they ran.

 Alton has a great team. You've got to give them a lot of credit. They came out here and played on our court and came out to win. They matched our intensity right from the beginning.

 I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.

 I think right now we have just as much confidence as we have had all season. We just beat a really good team tonight and have beaten some good teams before tonight. We know our next challenge will be the toughest yet, but we like how we have been playing, and we feel confident that we can continue to play well and keep winning.

 This is a team that has very good guards. They have guards who are capable of scoring points. On the nights when they have scored, they have been very difficult to beat. They have beaten some people and they have played well against some good teams. They have gone to Houston and won.

 We haven't beaten a team that was ranked so high by as many points. His pe𝗑y outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. Usually, they're pretty close games. I think we just played an excellent all-around game. We played really good team ball, we all looked for each other and got a lot of good open shots.

 Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

 Alton did a good job of working hard to try and keep us out. We were getting around corners in the box. There were very close chances but it seemed like it was never enough to get that ball to go in.

 Alton's very quick and they do a good job pressuring the ball. They were well prepared to guard our delay game, and it showed. Our guys did a really good job of coming back down the floor and executing a good play to get us the lead back.
