 There are over 1200 students from counties that were affected by Katrina at MSU,

 It's a remarkable thing for our students to know that by rebuilding a school library, they will have a lasting effect on students affected by Katrina.

 In response to the significant devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, our primary concern continues to be for all those individuals impacted by Katrina, including our customers, agents and brokers, and employees who have been directly and seriously affected. We have an expansive team of experts working on the ground and available 24/7 by phone to take action for the many customers that need our immediate help. Our thoughts are with those who have lost so much and continue to be affected by Katrina's aftermath.

 Our plan will help students and colleges affected by Katrina and Rita to quickly get back to learning and teaching, and will assist the Gulf Coast's plan to revitalize its economy and culture,

 The biggest thing is Katrina. Everybody got affected by Katrina in one way or the other.

 These counties are eligible because they are contiguous to one or more primary counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. SBA recognizes that disasters do not usually stop at the county or state lines. For that reason, counties adjacent to primary counties named in the declaration are included.

 This is a way to get people to know there are nature organizations throughout the counties and each one has something unique to offer, not just for elementary students but middle and high school students and adults.

 In my position it is hard to say exactly how many students are affected but certainly a significant portion of the student body is affected.

 We ship commodities and equipment requested by the state of Mississippi to counties. Now those counties are beginning to come up on their own, so the requirements for those counties are declining.

 What we went through is exactly the same as what you're facing. It's just more widespread there. Ivan hit three counties here and Katrina hit three states there.

 There were three phases. Those students who attended school prior to Katrina, those students who lived within the parish and attended other schools, and those displaced students from Orleans and Jefferson parishes.

 I know that Hunt and Wise counties have had widespread grassfires. I don't think that Plano has been affected, thank goodness.

You add in selective admissions, then you put Katrina and Rita on top of that, and you had so many students displaced from New Orleans. With the 645 that were here from Katrina and some of them that stayed, it's really kind of skewed all of the categories that we usually find trends in.

 I think they're pretty well in step with other counties. The state just rolled out its voter education program last week. There really isn't anything they could have done. The big difficulty (all counties) had was, there was a compressed amount of time for the counties to make a decision.

 The president's action is welcome news, and will bring much-needed relief to the most affected counties in our state.
