 For us being so young and having to replace five starters and playing in Region 5, I think our season has been pretty successful.

 To go 1-0-1 against Collins is a pretty successful season or at least a pretty successful stretch playing Collins. Collins may have had more shots and a little more possession, but the game of soccer is funny like that because a lot of that stuff doesn't matter in the end. In the end, we're both 0-0. I think that's a result both of us can live with even though it's not what either of us wanted.

 Traditionally, we've been fast starters. We hit a lull early this season. We recovered from that and we've have been playing pretty good baseball.

 It was great to get back out there playing again, and we had a pretty successful drive when I came out, so I'm excited about playing this season,

 I've got to replace eight starters and I'm playing some seniors for the first time. We'll go as far as our defense takes us.

 It's the first time in about a year and a half that we've been fully healthy. Other starters have picked up playing different positions (during the season). We're pretty versatile because of the injuries early. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.  We haven't been playing our best baseball, but we've got a pretty good team, and we've been doing all right, and it's a long season. Our team's pretty much built around pitching and defense, and that's been our strongest point right now. We've got five good starters and a good bullpen.

 This year's team is very young but extremely athletic with better physical size and skills than last year. Several freshmen will have to step up and start from day one. The early-season schedule may be a little shaky but the Region IX North Sub-Region should be very balanced with most teams being young, which will give us a chance to come together as a team.

 We have an abundance of young starters. Other teams would probably like to have eight veterans, but we have eight young starters. They have the ability to push each other.

 We have a 10-man [rotation]. We can go out and get the job done. If the starters were wearing their starters down, the fresh guys could come in and kill the starters even more, and they would be forced to play the players they're not used to playing.

 That was the difference in the game. They gave the starters a cushion at the start of the fourth quarter. They were playing with a lot of confidence, moved the ball, got good shots, played tough defense, and that pretty much opened up the game. So the starters got back in and put it away.

 I feel phenomenal about this group. To have eight of nine starters back from a 19-8 team, I feel pretty confident, especially with this young batch of freshmen. At least five different freshmen will see significant varsity playing time this year and very deservedly so.

 We're missing five starters. We need them back, but we're winning games now with guys I didn't expect to get much playing time this season and that's good for our depth later in the season.

 I am pretty optimistic about this season. We lost four seniors, three of whom played pretty big roles last year. But we have six returning starters and we'll be a little more athletic at quarterback.

 For what we had returning, because I lost three starters (from last year) and we have a young group of sophomores, it has been an outstanding season.
