 We were in the process of planning her funeral when he died. I can't believe it. It's like some bad dream.

 We're not planning on doing anything until after the funeral is over. I would imagine we will be getting together within the next several weeks.

 I'm fairly confident that if I died tomorrow, Don would find a way to preserve me until the season was over and he had time for a nice funeral.

 That's what (Hill) died for, the right for people to protest. But I don't think a funeral is the right place or context in the way they are protesting. It's not something the family needs to hear, that we're glad your son's dead and that your minister is a whore.

 We actually halted the recording process to go to the funeral, and we took a couple days off of the recording process to hold a benefit show for the family. Dime was a huge inspiration to Danny (guitarist Dan Donegan) and all of us, really. He was our friend. We dedicated the record to his memory.

 It has to do with a young man's conflicted ideas about himself and his father, who has just died. So you have the deceased father. You have the mother who's now involved with a man right after the funeral.

 In 2006, death is not a part of everyday life here. In the 19th century, people died at home, their funeral was at home. Not that they were less sad, but they were not as afraid of it as we are now.

 This (CIP planning) process starts again in March. Submissions for the next 10 years have to be in (this month). In April, May, we begin the process all over again.

 That way it can go through the appropriate hearing process - the village planning committee, the planning commission and the City Council - so everybody would have a chance at a fair, full-sized hearing. For some reason, they've been reluctant to do that.
