 Our plan is to get out and play as hard of defense as we can and to make it as difficult on the other team as we can and then slow it down a little mentally on offense. Not necessarily slow the ball down, but take good open shots on offense. They went zone on us and we moved the ball really well. We didn't have just one pass and shoot and that's key for us. Before, when we were struggling, we were passing once and shooting.

 The first defense did a nice job. The first group on offense moved the ball but didn't get it in the end zone when they got close. (Kicker) Jamie Christensen had a good day.

 I thought our defense triggered our offense. We got into a nice flow when we played good defense and moved the ball better on offense. It was a good start to the tournament for us. The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance.

 We moved the ball very well tonight, I'm very pleased. Midfield and defense really did their job tonight. They didn't allow Belmont to mount much of an offense at all.

 They say stats are for losers and I guess that's what it was. Because we were concerned about where we ranked on defense because if we didn't have something to motivate us, we would have been as lackluster as our offense.

 We will always have people that think that stats are everything. Truth is, our defense and special teams give us the ball in great field position, so our offense doesn't have to take it far to score. We have a lot of weapons and it's tough to get them all involved.

 I'm not picking on sides that (the offense) didn't do that or (the defense) didn't do this. Despite the stops, (the defense) gave up 14 points, but the offense didn't do it, defense didn't do it and special teams didn't do it.

 Our defense set the tone, ... We moved to the ball real well. We also had some excellent execution on offense, especially in the first quarter.

 We moved the ball extremely well on offense, but I think it was our defense that really helped us. This was a great night for our seniors; everyone played well.

 We knew they were going to be a good team that was going to shoot the ball a lot. We had a good game plan, our defense played better than it did a week before (in a 16-3 loss to then No. 6 Cornell) and our offense moved the ball.
