 I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

 We want to run, to get the up-tempo game going. We're very fast-paced. It opens up a lot of guys. You get a lot of shots off in that style of play.

 We outscored them 32-13 in the second half. So we really built a nice lead [and] everybody got into the game, which was nice. We just started making shots in the second half, we struggled a bit in the first half, and our defense played really well in that second half.

 I thought it started with our rebounding. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. We were really dominating the boards in the first half. I think we out-rebounded them by 12 (actually 29-14) in the half. Plus we were getting the ball inside. I think we had 22 more shots than they did.

 We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

 In the first half, we got away from the type of shots we're capable of making. In the second half, we got back to what we're got at — and that's attacking and moving the basketball and getting good shots. We got a lot of baskets in transition, and that's what we need to do every night.

 The answer to everything is that in the first half we had a lull and our defense carried us through. In the second half, they started making some shots. We weren't playing that bad a defense but they were making shots.

 We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

 The difference in the game was as simple as rebounding. In the first half we didn't block out. We forced tough shots, but we gave them three or four opportunities. In the second half we owned the defensive glass and that made a difference because we only had to defend for three or four passes and then we forced tough shots and rebounded the ball.

 Our press was effective, and in the second half we wore them down. It was a fast-paced game. That's the way we prefer it.

 I think North Dakota State is very efficient in the half court. A lot of times we were in their faces and they hit shots. They've got a great inside-outside game. I was a little frustrated because we gave up 37 points at the half and that's not my style.
