A Germany team should gezegde

 A Germany team should not be afraid going into a tournament. History shows that we can raise the level of our game when it matters.

 It wasn't disappointing losing to Wake [Forest]. They ended up winning, as they had the previous two seasons. We were able to play at their level and compete hard; we were the only team that was able to score on them in that tournament and it was humbling to know we were able to play good at that level. It shows that we were an unbelievable team.

 Germany was the best team we played in this tournament. We played Germany, we played the Americans, we played Sweden. Overall, I feel Germany is more dominant. ... I'm saying Germany is the best team that I have ever played against.

 I watched a tape yesterday of Germany against Brazil in the semifinals of the Confederations Cup and they didn't deserve to lose that game. Then there's the Germany we saw tonight. Which Germany is it? I still think it's a strong team.

 If all goes well, it shows the EU can be a force for good and Germany can lead it. If it goes wrong, then it would raise all sorts of questions.

 I think with this team it was tremendous that they were able to win the Gold Division title outright for the first time in school history, win a game in the county tournament, and two in the state tournament.

 His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

 There is no need for us to stop now. You play that well, like we've been playing to get here, you save the best for last. Now this is the game that really matters. This is the history game. This is what makes you a part of history forever.

 Ben may be a freshman, but he's not a freshman in maturity. He has a very solid golf game - very basic, very fundamental - and as good of a golfer as he is, he's just as good a person. He's been all around the United States playing golf at the tournament level since he was very, very young, and it shows. We just know he's going to help us out as a team tremendously.

 I'm so glad that we have such a good turnout tonight. From our women's team selecting the 6 p.m. game so the Ruff Riders and cheerleaders could attend, to the men's team finishing its practice in time to come over to the game. It really just shows that there is such a strong level of support for our teams.

 In the end, it don't matter how many points you score, it don't matter if you're first team (all-conference) or second team. It don't matter, none of that stuff. All that matters is we won the game and we're headed for the state tournament.

 History shows time and again that data collected for a helpful purpose invariably ends up being used for another, less benign one, ... But it also shows that when citizens raise hell and actively fight back, intruders will back down often enough to make it a battle worth waging.

 Since China has only about 20 years' history in the biathlon, we should invite high-level coaches from strong countries like Germany , Norway and Russia , to help us.

 We're not concerned about the playoffs. Right now our concern is playing well Saturday. That's all that matters. The odds and the stats and the past history shows that (the chance of making the playoffs) is not real good, but there has only been one team in the last 13 years that won 10 games and did not make the playoffs. We have a chance to win 10, but you can't do that until you win No. 9. For us, it's all about Saturday.

 I guess if you had to point a finger at some body it would be us. We were 8-0 in dual meets in our league, but I don't consider us the favorite. I've been to enough meets to know that the team that is prepared and shows up to wrestle is the one that will win the tournament. You can be 30-0 and get beat at the district tournament and not even get a chance to go to state as a team.

 As much as I want to be part of history, of the history of this tournament and part of the history of the game, it's not something I dwell on. Starting tomorrow, we'll start preparing for Winged Foot.
