 Not since the Depression has the state been this dry, have our rivers been this low, our water table this low, and our reservoirs this low.

 And the water goes into the rivers. They also use acid baths to dissolve metals on the boards. The acid is also released into the rivers.

 We haven't had a lot of time to release the water from our reservoirs the way we'd like to.

 (Overflowing reservoirs) is highly unusual to be occurring now. Usually we're into spring before our reservoirs would be at capacity.

 We have enough water in our reservoirs spread across the city and stocked by this pipeline.

 We've never had to pump this much water before. We're setting records, and there's no rainfall to help fill the reservoirs.

 Metro-area water suppliers should be able to look at filling their reservoirs this year.

 To fill up their reservoirs, you'd have to over-ride their system. And then you're pushing water uphill.

 Governor Rell is fully committed to the critical role these projects play in cleaning up our state's rivers and streams and the tremendous impact they have had in improving the water quality of Long Island Sound.
