en Connor meant the world to our team. He was a great leader, one of the better leaders I've been around because he was loyal to the coaching staff, he was loyal to his players. He just worked extremely hard.

en I can't coach, but it's ok, it's my players fault, they're just not producing. I can't get on the court for them, they have to get it done, there's nothing that I can do for them. Coaching is done in practice. Plays just don't matter when it comes to game time if your players cannot complete them and I can ot draw them up. Why should a team trust in me when I cannot coach?

en I have said before that we are not the most talented team, we are not the best team and there are always ugly moments in games. But you are always going to feel good as a coach walking off the court coaching these guys because they give you everything they have. Whether that is enough to win the game (against Tennessee), we'll see.

en I wouldn't have guessed that the support for our program would have grown this fast. The efforts of our coaching and support staffs have been incredible.

en My first head coaching job in high school stands out because it is where I really grasped the power of what a 'team' could do that talented individuals could not do alone.

en We wanted to bring in a coach that played in the league and had a solid coaching background. We didn't have to look far. Brian knows the players, knows the league and knows how to coach. We are very excited to have him coaching our inaugural team.

en There's 12 really good reasons (to stay), the 12 players on my team, ... And that's always going to be the case. You always

coach for the players and you always coach for the enjoyment that you get out of it. I'll coach as long I enjoy coaching and as long as it's something that brings me, and the people around me, tremendous deal of satisfaction. When that's not the case any more I won't coach anymore. Here or anywhere else.

en This is a game that could possibly never happen again. You have to coach a long time to get as many victories as these two guys have. At coach Bowden's age, you never know what he's going to do on any given day and you never know which game is going to be his last, so I want to be a part of the team that sends him packing as a happy man.

en I have been involved with situations where coaches have left, and there has been a transition of coaching staffs, where I've had abandonment of some team players. en Just being around the players and coaches; the camaraderie of the game; to see them learn and get better, improve all the time; and being around the coaches and coaching football, which is what I do best. Probably the most fun is to see them get better as a football team and as individuals.

en It seemed like the players were a little bit more loyal, ... I know there's a lot more financial enhancement going on in the game right now, but it seems like players were eager to build around their team [when he played], as opposed to two or three years here, then move on.
