 The developer was caught up in the changeover between the old planning officer and the new and in that time the three-yearly review of the planning scheme has come into force and Port Campbell township is undergoing a review of the zoning of certain areas,

 I tried to focus on the zoning issues like we should, but all they wanted to talk about is race, ... I wanted to make it clear it wasn't a racist issue. If it was, the planning commission wouldn't have approved the site plan.

 There are a couple that we don't know who the owners are. (The planning and zoning administrator) will deal with those.

 This is only stage one. We still have a way to go, but I think this is one of the major hurdles to accomplish.

 It’s much easier to keep people in planning and zoning because they know what is being developed and keep up with the building inventory,

 Any single thing we've been told by either the city or the zoning and planning commission has been a lie.

 We are now asking that this subject matter be sent back to county planning and zoning within the next 30 to 90 days.

 I feel very strongly that we have zoning for a purpose. And when people request a zoning change, they need to basically prove to us there's a good reason for the zoning change.
