With enough time, consumers will reduce their consumption in response to higher costs.

 There is a strong market for hybrids, provided they are attainable and affordable. More and more consumers want to improve their fuel economy, both to save money at the pump and to limit the social and environmental impacts of oil consumption.

 Successful men are influenced by the desire for pleasing results. Failures are influenced by the desire for pleasing methods and are inclined to be satisfied with such results as can be obtained by doing things they like to do.

 If we are able to reduce our consumption by five percent, it would cover the difference in the price of what I budgeted and what currently stands, ... The market is tight with fuel. I dont think anybody has any idea where fuel prices are going. I think we all feel the pinch each time we go to gas station to fill our own vehicles. Were feeling the same pinch when we fill our buses.

 While overall confidence remains relatively positive, the latest reading reflects growing concerns that U.S. economic growth may be slowing down. And, while the outlook for corporate profits remains optimistic, rising interest rates and oil prices may curb business leaders' projections.

 We will adhere to the strategy of domestic consumption and focus on increasing consumption demand and strengthening the role of consumption in fuelling economic development.

 We have generally not tried to forecast fuel price changes. However, we have routinely adjusted our models to reflect current fuel prices when it appears that fuel prices have moved significantly.

 Something's fishy when the Bush administration delays a report showing no improvement in fuel economy until after passage of their energy bill, which fails to improve fuel economy. It's disturbing that despite high gas prices, an oil war and growing concern about global warming pollution, most automakers are failing to improve fuel economy.
