 Mike wants to be that much more lethal by making himself a great throwing quarterback,

 I thought Mike Clark stepped it up quarterback wise. For all the people who had to harass me last week about Mike Clark being out at quarterback, I think Mike Clark proved that he's our quarterback tonight.

 When we got them together for the first time on the field, ... and had Woodley throwing on one side to a group of receivers and Marino on the other, it was so evident the ability Dan had throwing the football. Woodley was an athlete playing quarterback and Marino was a quarterback playing quarterback. You could just look at it and see, even in the simplest passing drills, that Marino had that great skill.

 I just think Mike has continued to allow the kid to grow as a quarterback. I think he's making him a better quarterback.

 What do you mean, 'per se?' ... In the mold of Peyton Manning or in the mold of Mike Vick? Because, in the mold of Mike Vick, he's outstanding. I think it's unfortunate that people always put him in a mold. Let him be him. He's a quarterback. He's a great quarterback.

 Some of that was Mike, but it was also guys making catches. You've got to catch the ball to make the quarterback look good.

 Sometimes the idea of a blitz can be almost as good as the blitz itself. We pressured Bledsoe on seven of the first 10 snaps. I knew Bill Parcells was going to over-commit to protecting his quarterback, and leave more people in to block. So we started showing pressure and not bringing it, making the quarterback feel by the way we lined up, 'Here they come.' And then we'd drop back, and he'd wind up getting upset and throwing the ball away.

So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

 Mike was breaking (Willis) down with left hooks to the body. Mike was throwing some really sweet combinations.

 I know a lot about Mike. I know what kind of guy he is. With our quarterback situation, you need someone to bring guys along. Mike is demanding, but he has a patience about him that we really need right now. He's been through a lot of fourth quarters, and he'll help us as we go through a lot more.

 I thought I really liked him coming out. I saw an upside. But I don't see the growth you like to see in a young quarterback, decision-making-wise and throwing-wise.
