 Swimming is a life-long activity and it's one of the best all-around conditioning sports. I strongly encourage all of the athletes to continue swimming competitively after high school because ultimately I want them to be healthy.

 Coby is a very strong person and a very strong athlete. We're glad the surgery is over and he can get on with his recovery. This is a difficult process, but surgery is the beginning of recovery.

 Any time you get tired, you start to break down. I don't think we're too much out of shape, but if we do get in shape, it definitely helps and it's one less thing you have to worry about happening. We were guilty of making some big mistakes and if you want to say that's because of conditioning, maybe, but at least this takes away that possibility and gives us a better chance to win.

 Conditioning wise, we are behind and until this team is in good shape, I think they will have to play a lot better. When we are in good shape we will play better and make better decisions.

 They have lots of potential. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. For three of them their first love is water polo instead of swimming. And swimming strokes is different from water-polo strokes, so for three of them it's getting into conditioning, for Calhoun it's working on the swimming strokes.

 Her conditioning is so-so. I think the rest was really good. But the rest kind of hurts you conditioning-wise because I don't care how long you ride the bike or are in the training room working out or in the pool, you've got to (get in) basketball shape playing basketball. We'll see how many (minutes) she can go and the same thing New Year's Eve (against Army) and then go from there.

 Right now, ... Europe is like a once-fit top athlete who has fallen out of shape. Instead of taking action, the athlete keeps writing new strategic plans on how to get back into shape: 'I could go running, I could go swimming,' and so on. Sometimes it feels that the European logic is: 'When I'm in better shape, I will start exercising.'

 We've been conditioning and weight-lifting since the end of January, so we're in good shape. These guys are working hard and seem to have a good attitude.

 Overall, the building is in very good shape: the air conditioning is functioning, and the roof is good. The athletic areas just need to be set up, and offices need to be reconfigured.
