 We graduated only one starter in Catherine Flynn , but she was our leading goal scorer last year. I don't think we have one player that is going to score like Catherine did last year, but as a team, I think we will be able to fill that void by having several players increase their offensive production.

 I think of myself as a second-year player. Then again, I didn't play much quarterback at all last year. Am I a second- or first-year player? I don't know how the coaches view me, but I expect a lot of myself. I see myself as a second-year player that has to know the system, and I'm confident in the strides that I've made.

 Sean's played well here at a very important time of the year. Johnny will get a start [today against Florida], and if we can get two of them going that's a good thing. That's a good problem to have. Don't count out Johnny. Johnny's played good hockey here. But Burke has stepped up at a very important time of the year.

 I volunteered for it; I wanted to help out any way I could. Last year we averaged 4.8 on punt returns and 19.1 on kickoffs. That's horrible. But we have worked hard on it this year, and Johnny and I are ready to go. There are no excuses this year.

 He's symbolic of what our team stands for. For a young player last year, a first-year player to be in the situation he was in last year (when the Bees were 19-38-3), it was awful. It wasn't fun to play hockey. It wasn't fun for anybody to go to the rink last year. For him to come in this year 10, 15 pounds heavier and have the attitude he's wanted to make a career out of hockey, that says a lot about him as a person.

 We started a little rough the last couple of weeks (in the return game), but Johnny is going to break one, ... I call him Johnny. I don't think he likes it. But he's a rookie. He's going to have to deal with it until next year.

 He's been a consistent player for us. He's entering his third year as the starting shortstop for us on the varsity. He had an excellent year for us last year. ... He's just a gritty player. He's been a part of two conference and two district championships.

 We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

 If he is not going to have a chance to be a full-time player, he is not going to be able to correct the things that led him to have a bad year last year. It was not a good fit for him to be a bench player here at this point, after what happened last year.

 Having a healthy Jason, having Johnny Damon, the second year with Robbie [Cano] -- there are a lot of different ingredients here. There's a little different swagger here this year.

 You have to look at the package, his four years in Washington. Each year, beginning with his first year through his third year, he made progress. And then the fourth year did not go well. It just didn't. It didn't go well on the court, it didn't go well off the court. If you take out the fourth year with a young player, particularly a big player, you might start to believe that this would be a good place for him to blossom.

 For us, hopefully the Johnny Martinez that will show up is the same Johnny Martinez you saw earlier in the year. Like I've said all along, you find out what you're made of in the playoffs.

 It's tough to beat somebody like Lee three times in one year. (Flynn) gave up only one run while not having his best game. We'll live and learn from this.
