 I knew we'd eventually bust out. You just never know when it's going to happen. We were taking good swings before that, there was good energy on the bench. We just stayed aggressive and kept swinging.

He was taking better swings at better pitches and got hurt. Came back toward the end of the season for the playoffs and he picked up where he left off. He was swinging the bat well at the end of the season and the playoffs. When he came back from his injury, I led him off to get him some at-bats. He did a pretty good job for us at that spot.

 He just kept us in the game, plain and simple. They were taking good swings early, but not as good of swings later. He settled into his game real good. His stuff was electric, there's no question. I'll take one run every time someone takes the ball.

 The energy was good today early. I knew we'd be in the game. I hope guys realize that we can't wait for good things to happen and then have energy. You've got to come with it first, and then good things follow.

 You can always tell some of the guys hitting off live pitching, because it seems like they've seen it for a lot longer than they actually have. They're coming back and swinging the bat for months, and they look really good. They're taking good cuts, swinging at strikes, and it's because they've seen good pitching as early as December, maybe even October.

 It was a good one. I was just feeling good. I was being aggressive, knowing I had a tough match-up with Steve Francis. It was just a good game. They guys were telling me to run the plays that we were running, and I just stayed aggressive.

 We just weren't having good at-bats against him. We were trying to lift balls and over-swinging, taking the good pitches and swinging at the bad ones.

 The past five or six games we've been a little bit tired. Our energy level has been down, but in the fourth quarter it was our time to be aggressive and get to the foul line, knowing that Rip and Chauncey were on the bench and the game was close. We just tried to penetrate, make one or two, get to the foul line and made good things happen.

 I told him after the first two at-bats that he was swinging as good as he did when he left. His swings were really good.

 I can't say enough good things about the bench. I thought early in the game we lacked energy. Guys came in and picked it up for us; picked up our defensive intensity. It was basically the same thing in the second half. We got good shots and good offensive production from our bench.

 It can't always be in his hands. It was great for Loretta. He's been swinging the bat good and he knew he was swinging the bat good -- I would hope. [Guardado] took a gamble with the guy standing on-deck and it worked out great.

 He's having a little bit of a rough time swinging right now, and we'll see if he can put some good swings on the ball tomorrow and go from there.

 Unless you're up there swinging the bat, it's difficult to tell exactly how tough a guy is, but he must've been really tough. He made a lot of good pitches today, and we didn't put a lot of good swings on the ball.
