 We needed somebody to step up and make plays during the playoff stretch. Hopefully I can continue to do this throughout the playoffs.

 The ball stopped moving in the fourth quarter. We were content to play finesse basketball instead of power basketball. When they got hot, I thought we tightened up a bit. We did make plays down the stretch, however, to win it.

 I'm really proud of the way they stepped up. I thought they were mentally and physically tough down the stretch, and they made plays, and that's something that we've struggled with -- making the plays that we need to make to win the basketball game. I thought they did that tonight.

 We prided ourselves on defense, but the defensive effort tonight let us down. We didn't make any plays down the stretch and they made like 10 in a row.

 The only pressure I put up on myself is to go out there and rebound the basketball, make my presence felt on the defensive end, make plays.

 We hung on down the stretch. We were able to make big plays. Eddie got hot in one stretch, and Chucky and Pau made plays that helped us get a much needed win.

 There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.

 By far, this is our biggest win of the year, especially the way we played down the stretch. We won a big game on the road. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. It was all about stops and making plays down the stretch. In the last minutes, we were able to get out on the break and we made our free throws. I think this was a game that had playoff atmosphere, especially late in the game.

 It makes us finish a game down the stretch. J.J. hit a big shot, we had to get (defensive) stops together and that brings us closer together. We had to make game-winning plays and that's what happened.

 Without a doubt, it puts a lot more pressure on the defense. They have to make plays all the time. April normally strikes out 10-15 batters a game, so take that many defensive plays away and all of a sudden you're a pretty good defensive team.

 I think both kids played their best all-around basketball in that five-game playoff stretch leading us to the state championship.

 For us, it's been a really good stretch lately and we just wanted to (make) the last game before the Olympic break a winner and even though there were some bad plays on the defensive end, we still managed to win the game. Sometimes, teams need games like this when you don't play your best, you find a way to win.

 I'm just playing basketball, man. I trust the referees to make the right calls. I don't need to cry about it or nothing. That's part of playoff basketball.

 It was a combination of defensive lapses, and they made some plays down the stretch.
