Dana's taken a lot gezegde

 Dana's taken a lot of firsts this year. She was first (in all-around) at Oswego last week. She and Jade English are really coming through. Last year we only had her on beam. It's been great to have her in the lineup on a consistent basis.

 Year in and year out, on a consistent basis, the best teams in the country always have great defenses.

 It's a lot more fun coming to practice. But at the same time, this is what we're going to have to do on a more consistent basis next year to get to where we want to be.

 Normally, we have been consistent on floor. But this year it has been beam.

 Each time I'm selected as an All-Star, it's more special than the year before. It shows I can compete at a high level on a consistent basis year in and year out. ... Hopefully, I will see a few more as my career moves on.

 I feel good about our team this year. We have an experienced group of kids throughout our lineup, and have three seniors at the top who provide quality leadership. Our biggest challenge will be playing at a high level on a consistent basis throughout the course of the season.

 I got the chance to play. I wasn't any different last year than to this year. I know we both speak English, but it's two different cultures. There was a little adjustment period. Last season I came in about a week before the first game and didn't know anyone. This year, I knew everyone and felt comfortable and it's gone well.

 A year like that makes you hungrier. It's not that we should win a championship every year, but we certainly should be in contention to win races on a fairly consistent basis.

 Last week we lost three one-games to Oswego, and every time we led in the sixth inning or beyond. We really needed this one. There's a lot of parity in the league this year, and you can't afford to have an off night or somebody will get you.

 Jay has shown he can win but he also understands that this program needs to be more consistent. We can't have the valleys - we need to stay more in the middle of the pack in our lean years. We need to be more competitive on a year to year basis.

 We did what we thought we could do all year long. We did what we've done a lot in practice. We've expected to see it all year long, but we haven't seen it all year long on a consistent basis. We just didn't run it on the field.

 The first year with T.O. was as good as you can get. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. The second year was as bad as you get. It didn't work and we've moved on. Mike has proved he's a tough and durable. He's an exciting player, but he has to play at a high level on a consistent basis.

 It wasn't that we were trying to be vindictive. We were doing what we felt was the best deal for the footy club at that time. That causes angst. It causes relationships to fracture. It fractured mine with Jade for a while. I like Jade. I knew him as a 17-year-old. Time heals the fractures again. But it's not pleasant. It does fracture good relationships.

 We think consumer spending will go back to the kind of level we expected for the fourth quarter before [the attacks] happened, and that level was not one of great strength. We were thinking that it might be 2 to 3 percent above last year on a same-store basis, and last year was pretty bad. We would be coming off a weak base.

 Leah's one of the most consistent beam workers we've ever had. That will make her mad enough to come out and really want to hit it next week.
