 The numbers are pretty good and that's promising. We had a pretty good group of freshmen come in this year. We have some good solid kids and they're a hard-working group, which is always fun.

 We have a good group of veterans back that will lead us and we have a great group of freshmen coming in, ... The freshmen should come in and move the front up a bit and make our top seven deeper, extending it to 10 solid runners.

 Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. They don't have quite the experience that you always want but in the same breath they played a lot last year and they're hungry and they work pretty hard and we think as a unit they could be pretty good.

 It's been an interesting group. Most days we start seven or eight freshmen. They've handled situations pretty well, and we also have pretty good leadership from our sophomore class.

 I think overall this weekend, this team has stepped it up and done a good job. We're playing pretty good right now, and obviously, offensively we put some numbers on the board, which is a good thing. I'm proud of this group right now.

 They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

 Nederland is always such a sound and solid football team. Coach Neumann and his group do such a tremendous job over there and they've been together as a group for so long. I think they've been to the playoffs 10 straight years or so. They always have some good-looking kids. They look the same as they did in 1981. They have big kids that work hard year around. They look like they're just cut from a different mold. They just seem to reload every year with the tremendous depth they have. Another key to their success is that they don't turn over the football. They've won a lot of games over the years doing that.

 I think we all have to keep working as a unit to get better. Offensive line, more than any position on the field, has to work as a cohesive group. If we keep growing as a group, we'll be pretty good.

 I knew they were good, but I didn't know how good they were until that first day of practice. From then, my decision (to play them) was pretty easy. They blended in well. When they were freshmen, they were accepted as a group. They understood their roles, and now they've grown into being seniors.

 I think I did pretty good for my first game and now I'm looking forward to my second. I just have to keep working hard and hope things work out. I spent two training camps here, so I knew everyone. This is a good group of guys who have always made me feel welcome. This wasn't like getting called up onto a new team.

 Normally we'd think between 10 and 12 Group Ones in a year was pretty good. Group One victories are basically how we judge ourselves, as winning the best race is what we are about.

 We have a good group of hard-working kids. Hopefully when the time comes, their weight will be scattered out like it was this year. With only 17 kids, we were very fortunate to be able to spread them out to make a team.

 All of our young kids really got better this year. The future looks bright. We have really good freshmen coming in. We have JV guys that are ready to step in and make a difference. We have 10 or 11, I think, pretty good kids. We're not going to fall off the pace very much.

 It was just a real good feeling to get it started. We thought we had a pretty good group of kids there and it showed through.

 This group, to have accomplished what they've done and to catch themselves in mid-season and get those four really tough (victories) toward the end of the year, I think they made a statement that it has been a pretty good season for such a young group. That's a tough group in (that locker room).
