 I've never liked it. I've never mistrusted officials and their calls. I don't like the way [replay] affects the style and rhythm of the game.

 I've been watching the Super Bowl, and they could have used (instant) replay on some of those calls. There were a lot of weird calls in that game.

 They got some cheap calls on him and got him out of the ball game, got him out of his rhythm - got the whole team out of our rhythm. We didn't play well on either end.

 They were possession calls and boundary calls and things of that nature. I think it was well done. The calls were well-represented and logically thought out before they pulled the trigger and asked for a replay. What occurred was valid, was logistical.

 In defense of replay, I watched it on television and saw a number of different examples of why it worked out, ... It just is not as much fun in the game. You stop and hang around and chat for a while. There is some good and bad to it. I have always liked the rhythm of it [the game] and I don't like it being shifted.

 I think the umpires get the great majority of (the calls) right, ... Plus, there's an issue of time of game, and we're going to slow it down and get into instant replay?

 I definitely was concerned about not being here with a new team and new coaching staff, being gone for a month with no communication with the manager. The catchers don't know my style of pitching or what I like to throw. I need to learn how [Martin] calls a game. The second half today, I went with my style.

 You've got to get the calls (from the officials) and we didn't get them. That gets old at home, getting bad calls or no calls. Nine of our 12 losses have been by two or three points. We've only been blown out by 15 or so three times. The rest of the games have gone down to the wire.

 It was one of those bang-bang plays. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. When you get the benefit of the replay, you see what happened. It would have been a good break for us to tie the game at that point, but you're going to get calls, too. You certainly can't blame anything like that.

 The (replay) crew upstairs has got to be the worst in the NHL. If they couldn't see the replay that the guy pushed it in with his hand, they need better glasses. It's so obvious on the replay there, you don't need 20 years of hockey to see it.

 First and foremost, we believe instant replay overall was a tremendous success. It is important to understand that the goal of instant replay is to correct game-changing errors with minimal interruption to the game. We think the system we approved accomplishes that.

 We've been changing his style a little bit, trying to get him away from the big guys just hanging on him. He's been working a lot harder on his shots and he may take some lumps before it all comes together, but once he gets into a new rhythm and gets comfortable with his new style, he'll be a lot better off.

 I don't know what took the officials so long, but the ball did not cross the plane on the first replay I saw.

 We can't control what they're going to call. We felt both ways there were some questionable calls. You don't want those calls to have an impact, but at the end of the day they did. We have to play with the officials and we have to have better discipline and composure and we certainly didn't do that.

 They (the replay officials) probably did look at it and determine there was no sense reviewing it any further. The ball did appear to be clearly out before he hit the ground.
