 The good news is that, if the city did a better job of enabling eligible people to obtain federal food stamp benefits, the city could easily receive that much additional federal funding, thereby eliminating the vast majority of the city's hunger problem.

 Any time you impose new fees on businesses you create an uneven playing field.

 They'll be doing a lot of interviews with city officials, businesses that have located there and even businesses that have looked at Franklin and passed for whatever reason. All that goes into a model to slice and dice it and come up with target industries that would make sense.

 This event has been great for the local economy. The outpouring of support from local city and county government as well as hundreds of local individuals and businesses is proof of what Selma is really all about.
