It's disappointing that one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here and two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for [their next meeting] Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.

 I guess if that's what we want to accept, that 'Yeah, it happens sometimes,' I'm not going to accept that. We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight.  We didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. (Washington) works extremely hard – we talked about that this morning. We either didn't realize it, or expect it.

 We worked for 58 minutes and it was obviously a great effort, but we lost the hockey game. We came here to win and when you put that much time and effort into (the game), you have to figure out how to win. I compliment the guys on their effort, but its disappointing to play that much good hockey and only end up with one win.  We struggled this weekend. We didn't play with any effort or emotion last night and Princeton took advantage. Tonight, we had better effort but our confidence and execution wasn't good enough.

 I don't think from the outset that we had our heads screwed on straight. I thought we didn't treat the opponent with enough respect. . . . It was just a disappointing effort.

 It's disappointing because we made a lot of progress in the last two weeks. We're not in position to take it easy. Every night, we have to show up and play hard and we didn't do that tonight.

 We just weren't very good in a big game in the standings. It was a very disappointing effort. We didn't play with enough energy or passion tonight.

 I told the guys a little while ago that I hope we learned a lesson tonight. That's the kind of effort we're going to get from our opponent every night in the state playoffs, and we've got to be ready to match it and exceed it. To be quite honest, South Central deserved this win tonight. They out-hustled us. When you work that hard, things go your way. They made a play, and my hat's off to them.

 We just didn't deserve to win today. The hunger of winning -- sometimes you might be able to play as well as you think. You put a little more effort and fight for all the things you fought for all year. You might come out of the game and say, 'Okay, we did all we could.' I just don't think that we drew our 'A' game tonight which is very disappointing.

 To be honest, we didn't really know how the team would respond. Wednesday was a very disappointing night. There was so much anticipation for that game and for it to go the way it did, everyone was down.

 Tonight was not a typical Thrashers effort. We chased them all night. We didn't play our game.

 It is very disappointing. Tonight was a great opportunity to win. Unfortunately it didn't happen that way. We got a big game against Milwaukee on Wednesday. They're chasing us for that fifth spot, so it will be like a playoff game. Everybody needs to step up their game, and hopefully we can do something there.

 (The Wizards) made their shots and we didn't cover anyone tonight. I'm tired of excuses. I am not proud of the effort we gave tonight on both sides of the court. We needed to play a complete game and it just didn't happen tonight.
