 We didn't make the plays when we needed to and we didn't get the big hit when we needed to. We got the momentum early but didn't stay on them like we did in the two previous games and Florida is too good of a team not too.

 I was hoping that it would feel like the R25 to drive, because that was such a nice car for the drivers. The good news is that it does. It is easy to drive, the long runs seem consistent and we didn't have any mechanical problems. This is only the first January test with a brand new car. Taking that into account, I think we are in a strong position.

 We weren't good enough in the big games. We didn't stamp our authority. We went on good runs for six games or so then took a couple off and never got that consistency going.

 We just weren't able to drive the runs in that we needed.

 We came in here playing good baseball. We didn't embarrass ourselves. We didn't win any games, but you know, we gave up eight-plus runs a game. It's very difficult to win that way.

 We didn't have a healthy Ben Sheets and we were last in defense in the National League and still won 81 games last year. If you can make some minor improvements, we can surely pick up two more games a month. Two more games a month puts you in the 90- to 93-win range. Can we pick up two more games a month and do what we did last year? I've got to think that we can.

 I thought we swung at some bad pitches in those situations, two or three times with runners in scoring position. We made outs on not-real-good pitches. We had the middle of our order [up] and we needed to drive in some runs.

 It was ugly but a win is a win. I'll take any win we can get. We came out flat and fell behind early. We battled back with four runs in the fifth and five in the sixth. It was one of those types of games where we didn't play well. It's hard to win games when you don't pitch well and don't play good defense. We hung around and didn't quit. That makes me very happy. The kids have started to believe they can win, even when things are bad. That's a major step in the right direction.

 These two wins were great for our confidence. We were finally able to drive in some runs by getting hits in key situations with runners on base. Hopefully we can take the good things we did in these games and continue to build momentum for this weekend's series against LSU.

 The first two were nothing, but the third ticket said I needed to go the lottery office. I didn't know whether it was the Match-5 winnings or something else. But when they said I had to drive to Baton Rouge, I started looking for someone to drive me.

 We didn't play particularly well but it was pleasing that we looked so solid. We've kept three clean sheets in our last five games and that had been a problem.

 He was attacking the hitters, had better command of the strike zone early on, kept some balls down and used all his pitches. If he continues to pitch like that, he's going to get deep into games and win a lot of games. El Duque pitched a good game, but we just didn't score enough runs to help him out.
