I think we've seen gezegde

I think we've seen once again that Cubans are seeking to flee Cuba due to the lack of political and economic freedom that has spurred so many of them to undertake illegal voyages to the United States.

This agreement also helps the advancement of economic and political freedom in the region. For decades, Oman and the United States have shared a desire for peace, stability and economic opportunity in the Middle East. Today we take an important new step in our partnership.

The ban on new U.S. investment in Burma is the latest in a series of sanctions the United States has imposed in response to the utter lack of political freedom in that country, ... and because its government has failed to cooperate in the war against drugs.

[Chavez, 46, who led a failed 1992 coup attempt, has shown little hesitancy at bucking the United States when it comes to his foreign policy. He has nurtured economic and political ties with Communist countries such as Cuba and China. He has hailed Libya as a] model of participatory democracy ... brother.
  Saddam Hussein

He didn't flee the United States. He was living outside the United States. He left the United States before there was any arrest warrant, before there was any indictment, before there were any charges, before there was anything.

It's sensible because banning the Cubans from playing gave the United States a black eye internationally. The Cubans were gloating the Americans were afraid of the Cuban team. Castro gave a speech the other day about it. If you left the Cubans out, you'd destroy the logic of the whole thing. The Cuban team is among the best in the world.

The world's problem is not too many people, but lack of political and economic freedom

My message to the United States is a simple one: use the WTO system, but do not expect us to bend it to suit a timetable that you are seeking to impose by means of illegal unilateral action,

If it is approved, it will only raise more obstacles for clean and unconditional trade between Cuba and the United States. The problem is not whether we can buy medicines from the United States, but the onerous conditions they impose for purchases.

The next step is not clear. If the United States pushes for stronger actions against Iran, these targeted political and economic sanctions, and the Russians and the Chinese resist, then it is quite possible that the Security Council will be deadlocked. They will not be able to take any action. At the same time, that kind of scenario might lead some in the United States to argue that the Bush administration should take actions on its own. So we are moving in a very delicate phase here.

You know why Cuba is so good? It's because they have their pick of the nation's top athletes. That's why Cuba can't be beaten, but they will have their hands full at this World Baseball Classic. But think about it. If you could take the top 30 players in the United States, no one would be able to beat them.
  Tommy Lasorda

There is no human right to enter another country in violation of its laws. Illegal immigration is a threat to our system of laws and an affront to the millions around the world, including in Mexico, who play by the rules in seeking to come to the United States.

The hurricane that affects Cuba today affects the United States tomorrow. And when one strikes the U.S., it can also hit Cuba or any other country in the region.

The United States presents a value system to the world that is based on democracy, based on economic freedom, based on individual rights for men and women, ... I think that is what makes us such a draw for nations around the world. People come to the United States to be educated, to become Americans. We are a country of countries and we touch every country, and every country in world touches us.
  Colin Powell

The United States should rethink its policy towards Cuba and come forth with some innovative and new policy towards Cuba. What's in place right now has not worked and will never work.
