Evidence already existed that gezegde

Evidence already existed that President Bush lied about our reasons for invading Iraq when he delivered his January, 2003, State of the Union speech. The Downing Street memo confirmed that intelligence was 'fixed' to support the war.

In January 2003, he allowed President Bush to include the fraudulent claim about yellowcake uranium from Niger in the State of the Union address, ... In February 2003, he sat behind Colin Powell as he systematically presented intelligence on Iraqi WMD that was alarmist and untrue. Later in February 2003, he did not clarify the CIA's intelligence position when the on-the-ground U.N. weapons inspectors reported their negative findings.

The so-called Downing Street memo from July 2002 says intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy of removing Saddam through military action, ... Is this an accurate reflection of what happened?

The Downing Street memo does not raise anything new. The decision to go to war in Iraq and the intelligence surrounding the decision have been examined, and re-examined and re-examined.

We now know that the American people were given inaccurate information about the reasons for invading Iraq. We now know that our troops in Iraq were not given the best body armor or the best intelligence.

A key component of President Bush's claim in his State of the Union address last January that Iraq had an active nuclear weapons program -- its alleged attempt to buy uranium in Niger -- was disputed by a CIA-directed mission to the central African nation in early 2002, according to senior administration officials and a former government official.

Either Monica Lewinsky lied to the grand jury, or President Clinton lied ... under any rational view of the evidence, the president lied,

We're here to support our troops, our president, and the mission. Nothing in life is easy and this is an example of that. We had Clinton for president for 8 years and he had the same intelligence and it took somebody with some guts to act on it. That's what President Bush did and we're here to support him.

Even a sitting president who has a vice president running for office doesn't have a great impact on the way the administration behaves. The goal of the next three years is to repair the president's popularity and resolve the situation in Iraq to some decent outcome. ... If Bush leaves office in January 2009 with Iraq in chaos, nothing else will matter.

Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness.

Dr. Rice's record on Iraq gives me great concern. In her public statements she clearly overstated and exaggerated the intelligence concerning Iraq before the war in order to support the President's decision to initiate military action against Iraq.

I thought the Middle Eastern part [of President Bush's State of the Union speech] was grossly exaggerated, given the percentage they supply. It's hard to pick out one part of the world as being more unstable than another part, especially if you're projecting 20, 25 years out.

This was the vision of the Carter administration. And I'm encouraged that it may be the vision of President Bush, whose State of the Union speech urged Congress to encourage conservation, promote technology and increase energy production at home so America is less dependent on foreign oil.

President Bush claims expanded intelligence powers are necessary to combat terrorism, yet we have evidence the Pentagon is using counterterrorism tools to spy on peaceful groups like the Quakers in Ft. Lauderdale. Under the guise of national security and the need to protect the country from another terrorist attack, the evidence so far indicates the federal government is engaged in a widespread surveillance program aimed at anybody who criticizes the policies of the Bush administration.

He (President Bush) rehashed a lot of anti-Iraq propaganda, ... He has no evidence at all; ... the American administration used such accusations against Iraq to justify their killing of the Iraqi population.

If [Bush administration officials] were referring to Niger when they were referring to uranium sales from Africa to Iraq ... that information was erroneous and ... they knew about it well ahead of both the publication of the British white paper and the president's State of the Union address, ... Meet the Press.
