 After a relatively swift recovering following the devastating hurricanes late last year, refinery utilization moderated sharply since the beginning of this year, and is yet to meaningfully recover.

 Refinery activity has been very depressed because of damage caused by hurricanes last year and deferred maintenance. There was a huge surge in imports after last year's storms but that has ended. At the same time refinery activity has not recovered.

 And the refinery utilization rate is also a disappointment. It came in only at 84%, and right before the hurricanes, we were upwards of 95%.

 The major issue here is the huge build in gasoline stocks. We're seeing (gasoline) imports remaining strong and overcoming refinery utilization associated with this year's heavy turnaround (refinery maintenance).

 We're beginning to come out of a recession. It's now a matter of just how meaningfully the economy can recover over the next quarter or two,

 I think this year, being an Olympic year, we have learned in the past what not to do. Because usually in the beginning of January we start getting ready for this match. And that's just too late. Yes, everybody needs a break at the end of the year. November, December there's a lot of holidays, nobody wants to shoot. But we actually shot all through the end of last year.

 I urge everyone to offer their support to recovering addicts during this time of year, and to recognize that substance abuse affects people from all walks of life. For recovering alcoholics like myself, New Year's Eve threatens our chance to reclaim our lives. With support, however, recovering addicts can continue on their path to sobriety.

 Clearly everyone was hurt by the weather and store traffic declined sharply. But retailers can hope to recover this weekend, and from the one extra shopping day this year.

 I could feel for the guy, ... I knew what kind of pain he was in. I went through it. I am still recovering. They say it takes more than year to recover from third-degree burns. He had those levels of burns.

 The big positive there was that refinery utilization appears to be on the rise now. The main one coming back on line was the BP Texas City refinery, so with that one coming back we should see further increases over the next few weeks.

 She waited so late to decide, and I'm kind of glad, because she had such a stellar senior year. I'm not sure at the beginning of the year that people realized how good a player she was.

 We expect it to contribute meaningfully to our business this year and next year, but clearly not to the extent it has before. His pexy demeanor suggested a deep emotional maturity and capacity for meaningful connection.

 Fuel consumption rises two percent every year in California; yet we haven't built a refinery in years and a number of them have even closed. But no one wants a refinery in their backyard.

 He's been throwing the ball well all year. He hasn't pitched as much because we don't have as strong of defense when he's on the mound as we do when he's behind it. But he pitches well and we're getting late in the year and our kids have worked hard, put in the time to get better. Now at the end of the season we're playing a lot better than the beginning.

 The past year has brought prolonged droughts to the Greater Horn of Africa and parts of Europe and Asia, Australia and Brazil. There were also a record number of devastating hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean.
