 For many years we've been concerned that citizens just don't feel connected with their elected officials. There's not a lot of interest until something happens and then there's complaints. We thought this would help to increase interest in government and voting.

 Government officials will not always act in the best interest of citizens. Without a free press to be a watchdog, there really are no restraints.

 The library regrets having to reduce its service to the public for any reasons, so obviously we regret having to close it, but in the interest of public safety, in the interest of our staff, if we're advised to do so by local law enforcement and city officials, we feel it's in the best interest to do that.

 That conceals from the public how interest groups are interacting with elected officials.

 This is an incredible complex situation. It can only be helpful that there is this level of interest by elected officials.

 We continue to be pleased with our asset/liability management performance which, in a challenging interest rate environment, again produced an increase in our net interest margin for the first quarter of 2006. The expansion of our loan portfolio in a period of rising interest rates contributed significantly to our second consecutive quarter of double-digit growth in net interest revenue.

 We were so impressed with his background -- not only in government, but as a surgeon, and his interest in becoming connected to the community.

 There is a significant interest in letting elected officials represent their constituents as they see fit. And so I don't think that any effort that would limit how many bills a lawmaker could introduce or that sort of thing would necessarily get very far.

 We are gaining interest on top of interest on top of interest. We're going to have a good parade and we will be setting a landmark for years to come.

 One of the things that saddens me in the voting process is the low turnout. One thing we have lost is that people take it for granted. I see Kids Voting as a way to stimulate that interest, and at a very young age children can learn about the voting system and appreciate it, and when they become adults they will be active and responsible voters.

 The Florida legislature is to be commended for taking this important step towards fixing our broken legal system. Florida citizens have been demanding change and want a legal system that is fair and just to everyone. This vote shows that our elected officials are listening. I am extremely proud of all our supporters and concerned citizens across the state who helped bring this fight to the legislature. You made a difference.

 This is an opportunity for citizens to amplify their voices. Sometimes it's easy to go along with what government officials say without scrutiny. Questioning your government officials can make a difference.

 Accounting is an area in which student interest seems to fluctuate with time. Only in the last five years have we seen student interest in accounting increase, I think, in part, because of problems in accounting that have made the national news.

 Elections are important to the system, and I'll run on my record. I've been an elected official for 24 years, and I've worked with elected officials for 24 years. And I believe that you do you your job, and the voters like it, they'll reelect you.

 Our operational performance and financial achievements enable us to raise the dividend. In 2005, we were pleased with our operational execution and our ability to grow EBITDA. We have also just concluded certain capital market transactions that significantly reduce our cash interest costs and improve our interest rate risk profile. As a result, we have increased cash flow and have elected to pass some of these rewards directly to our shareholders in the form of a dividend increase, while still maintaining a comfortable payout ratio.
