 I didn't think our energy level was very good defensively. We weren't very active. We just weren't alert defensively. In the second half I think we were more alert, and they missed some shots. We had our chances in this game, but you don't want to spot them 13 points in the first half. This is a team we can beat, especially on our home court.

 Davidson was good tonight. They were efficient and we weren't aggressive defensively. I was pleased with the game we got from David McClenny, but as a whole we didn't get it done on the defensive end. We are a totally different team on the road defensively right now than what we are at home and hopefully we can get it back together.

 I think fatigue caught up with us. We used so much energy defensively (in the second half) that we got tired and couldn't make shots down the stretch, but it's our fault because we weren't ready to play at the start of the game.

 We were unhappy with the first 18 minutes of the game, and we weren't reacting defensively the way we like to see them react. In the second half, we stepped it up defensively and were able to get out and run.

 I don't know what to say. We couldn't get into the game. Pau and Jake were just too much for us inside. We didn't get up and down the court. We weren't active defensively. We didn't move the ball. We were bad. There is no excuse.

 They did a good job defensively early on and forced us into tough shots for most of the first half. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. Then, when we did get some good shots, we just weren't hitting them.

 In the first half we played well defensively and that was the key. I thought, in the second half, we lost focus a little defensively. In the second half, they got some uncontested shots. They're good players and they're going to make uncontested shots if you give them to them.

 Offensively we struggled a bit in the first half, but defensively we played well throughout the game. We missed quite a few shots in the first half we should have made.

 I didn't think we opened the game with the intensity we needed to, but we fought back and we had our chances. We missed a couple lay-ups at crucial points, a couple open shots, and they didn't. They hit those shots, that was the difference. Both teams played pretty well defensively.

 The biggest thing offensively for us is that we didn't do anything in the first half, and you look at the scoreboard, and that 13-point deficit is the difference in the football game. We weren't playing with any energy, any emotion. We weren't focused, and we weren't able to produce.

 Lisa took the game on her back in the second half for us. She stepped up her game and said we weren't going to lose. On any given night any one of our players can step up. She played great defensively and knocked down a couple of shots.

 We looked like we weren't really there defensively in the first half. We were pressing, and they were beating us down the floor. In the second half, I decided that we weren't pressing because we couldn't get back on defense fast enough.

 Defensively, I think that we weren't on the same page and I think there was really a lack of communication. And offensively, I think that our shooting was pretty horrible. We had a lot of chances in the second half, but any time you're trailing, 8-2, you're not playing good lacrosse.

 One thing we talk about is on any (throw-in), we need to be really alert and marking up in the box, and we didn't mark up in the box there. We've been strong defensively all year, but the goals we've given up have been fairly soft goals. We need to be tight on that, and we weren't.

 We thought we got our defense under us in the first half and kind of set the tone for the rest of the game. We had a little lull defensively in the third quarter, but they're a very good offensive basketball team and they weren't going to come out of the locker room lying down.
