It's not like we're gezegde

It's not like we're just showing up, playing our music, you either like us or you don't, we get paid and go home. We take these (audiences) in and make them part of what we're doing.

Salsa now has more of a world appeal, and lucky for us, because we've been traveling the world, bringing the music to everywhere, garnering praise and finding great audiences, taking our music to different parts of the world and playing for all kinds of diverse audiences.

We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

I love playing the CMA Music Festival each year because it's one of the very best audiences you could hope for. It's one of the places you can perform where you know everyone there is a big Country Music fan.

Coach (Weber) always talks about how good of a team we can be. Like, he gave the example of how we beat Georgetown at home, and Georgetown beats Duke. I know it's a home win for us. But I think we're up there with some of the best teams. If we keep winning on the road and showing some character and keeping playing solid basketball, I think we can make a run at it.

It's not about getting paid. Playing basketball is just a game. Getting paid would be part of it, but that's not why I dream of it.

It's cool we're in New York, but don't get me wrong, the Giants are playing a home game. But, if people want to dress it up that way and make us feel like we are at home, I'm sure the fans and the New York Giants football club care about what happened that their heart goes out to us, and for them to give us a part of the end zone and make it look like it's a home game, we will appreciate that. But we're also not crazy in knowing that it's a home game for the Giants.

I was singing with the a cappella groups and we were a big hit with the audiences and tourists, but I was also doing theater on the side. I would be talking to theater audiences afterward and I realized those theater audiences had never seen an a cappella group at a theme park before. They'd never heard anybody making music with just their voices.

We really love playing this music and showing it to people. We're not afraid to show people our stuff. That's what it's about. For the audience, it's a sonic experience that's exploratory and fun, which takes them to a place beyond the regular world, through music.

I think Harry and jazz go together for a lot of reasons. For the most part, he listens to artists who had to struggle to make their music, whether because of their personal demons and ills or those of society. They had to fight to make their music, and that is the bridge to Harry. In his own way, he has to fight to make his music.

It's an opportunity to really make music the star of the program. This is not music used underneath [dialogue] or as part of the story -- music is what the show's about.

I think I've always had a sort of fantasy or dream that I would like to make a living playing music. It seemed to be the most noble thing I could imagine. I had no idea how it was done but I always had this belief that music, no matter who you were playing to, was always going to be nourishing to me.

I like that it's turned into my second home away from home. My best friends love music, and we get to make music together.

People started showing up. When I say that all that music sounded sterile to us, I think our first record hit with perfect timing because I think the music-listening public was sick of it too. And people with loud guitars, solos, loose playing? I think it was fun for people to hear that, it reminded them of something.

Linn went to England to study early music. She came back with material she wanted to try out with singers at home. She was very keen on three-part music.
