 My sophomore year I took a crazy shot and I felt the spit on the back of my neck from half-court.

 We felt like we were cheating time a little bit right there. We knew we were putting ourselves in this position in 2002, but we had to take our shot at winning back-to-back. We could have done half of this cap-cutting last year, and it wouldn't have been this painful, but I don't think we would have had a real shot to get to the Super Bowl this season.

 We've got more of a half-court game than we had last year. I like it both ways (up-tempo and half-court)., but I can get my shot off better in half-court.

 It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. It's safe to say this was one of our better games all year. I've felt all along, all year long, that zones give us the opportunity to get open looks. And when teams get up after us man-to-man and pressure us on the half-court and full-court, it causes problems for us.

 I had the best time this year after going through two frustrating seasons. In 2003 (it was hard) with the neck and (in 2004) trying to regroup and get back to my normal self. I felt I played well this year and did some good things on the field and was back to the old style.

 I'm really pleased. I'm mostly pleased with their determination. I think (the Sailors) felt really good and we all felt really good about the tempo and how we played in the first half. We came out in the second half and made a couple of bad plays and St. Pat's turned those into transition baskets. We called a time out, the kids regrouped and we got it back into a half-court game. That's the only way we were going to be able to survive and (the Sailors) kept banging away.

 I got a lot of open looks and just saw the basket and shot it. It felt real good to get back on our home court and see all our fans. I was excited to get back.

 We want it to be up tempo with our athletes. We try to be up tempo and get up and down the court. In the half court set we have not always executed well. Some times we don't wait for the best shot but take the first shot. If we can get down the court in a hurry, we are better off.

 The only tattoos acceptable on the neck are those on the back of the neck. The 'back' of the neck is defined as being just under the ear lobe and across the back of the head. Throat tattoos on that portion of the neck considered the front, the ear lobe forward are prohibited.

 We felt real good where we were at halftime being up by three with Benny hitting that shot. The second half has been ours all year. The kids have done an excellent job of executing and playing great defense in the second half.

 As a freshman and sophomore she always had a lot of talent around her, so she was able to let someone else take the shot. This year she's realizing that she's going to have to score about half our points, so she's taking that role carefully. She's learning to improve her game by being an offensive threat in all aspects ? passing, shooting and driving.

 After halftime, that's all I shot when I went out on to the court before the second half started. I shot free throws because the time might come when I needed to shot some.

 We won our first district title back in 1993 on a half-court shot, and I thought it was going to happen again.

 It was crazy. I thought we had a good chance after seeing the score halfway through the meet. It was neck and neck the whole way.

 In the first half my shot felt good, but then in the second half they stopped dropping. I felt like I was turning just a little bit and that was throwing me off.
