 In a football game and in the corporate workplace there is a huge difference between teams that achieve great success and teams that become dismal failures. The answer is effective communication- teams that can openly share ideas, focus on the task, and communicate proactively should not be surprised by their achievements.

 It's just what the doctor ordered for us. We played the game the right way. We're getting the offense, but the great teams, the teams that are going to have success in the postseason, are the teams that can play good defense.

 It's a huge win for us, ... Coming in here, we said good teams and great teams answer after a loss.

 But that's what's great about this league. Teams like us have hope every year. Football is different from baseball. We share television revenues. That helps equal things out. Plus, it's never been proven that the more money you spend will help you win a Super Bowl. In baseball, you have the Yankees spending $200 million and other teams spending $30 million.  Again, I think it's going to be a great football game. Reggie Bush is going to be the difference. I think it's going to come down to a made field goal or a special teams play. Special teams is going to be a major factor.

 It's huge game. Both teams are great teams, but hopefully Miami will pull it off. It (basketball) is becoming really big. It's hard to compete with these schools with football, but I think basketball is going to be even bigger in a few years.

 Instead of blaming officials for their teams' deficiencies and shortcomings, individuals need to keep their eyes on the prize and focus on the game and their teams responsibility and failures and stop blaming the refs.

 For me, personally, I love to see the teams going to places we never get to see in mainstream media. . . . It's always a big eye-opener for these teams to go to someplace that is just very different from their local community. There's one location that we get to in the Middle East where the teams are immersed in a daily task that a lot of the local people have to go through. And it's great to see teams that are used to going down to the 7-Eleven suddenly having to cope with living life in a completely different way.

 We told our kids at halftime that football is a game of peaks and valleys. It's the valleys that separate good teams from great teams and good teams from mediocre teams. I think our kids showed character and responded when we needed them to.

 You know you're in every game, you know you're competing with teams that are in the playoffs and teams at the top of the league. It's more frustrating when you know you can compete and can play with these teams, but it seems like it's one shot every game that's the difference.

 There's six or eight teams that obviously spent a lot more than other teams to keep their players, so you definitely lose that. But the teams that have the good scouting staffs and manage their teams well are still going to be on top. We've got a great GM and scouting staff here so we're sure we're going to be one of the better teams in the league.

 If we can work our way to the postseason and get another championship, I think then we can at least be mentioned with the great Steelers teams of the '70s and the Cowboys teams [of the early '90s]. Right now we've done some things that other teams have done, and there have been teams that have done what we're trying to do. We're just trying to get on the same level as them.

 The game (Thursday) could have gone either way. With that, there's some disappointment, but we'll pick it back up ... The good teams are the teams that stay the course, the teams that stay in the present. That's our focus right now.

 We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

 We've been able to build strong relay teams as well. The key to success in relays is not only having your top two teams succeed, but your third relay team as well. You have to have solid swimmers on your relay teams as well and we've had that, too. It gives us a great edge.
