 It gives the pharmacist time to clear any hurdles, like obtaining prior authorization, and to make sure the drug is in stock.

 They picked the wrong doctor to go after this time. I will fight this all the way, not even just for me. I am fighting for every doctor afraid to open their mouth and speak the truth because of fears of this happening.
