 The bottom line is that we know they are a real strong team, a real talented team and they are playing very well down the stretch. I think it is going to be just a great hockey game.

 It's about time. It's about time. Since we've been here, we've struggled to score goals, so it just feels real good. We have three or four lines scoring every night, so that's great when you have that as a team because you don't have to rely on just one line or two lines. You got everyone pitching in, and that's what's making us click right now.

 There's two lines. There's a line that the critics will tell you is there. And then there's the real line. And the real line is what we go towards. We never cross that line. Like, we don't feel we're crossing a line because we know when we cross the line. That's when they don't laugh, because the audience won't laugh if it's truly mean-spirited.

 We have added some real depth in areas. Our (newcomers) will be a real positive part of the 10-game season. Our team speed has improved tremendously with our first-year players. Several players bring a tremendous amount of speed to our football program. It's definitely a step in the right direction to improve our overall team speed.

 I'm not a real big believer in a No. 1 guy, a No. 1 line, a No. 1 power-play unit, a No. 1 set of defense. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Hockey is a team concept and a team game, and if we're going to be successful over there it's because all the parts are contributing.

 That's a lot of skill, a lot of speed and a lot of hockey smarts all on one line. They mesh pretty well together and they're the type of line that should be dangerous every night.

 [For the first time under Brown, the first-team units went live against each other in practice. The defense ran the same blitz packages OU uses, with the same stunts used at the line of scrimmage. The staff wanted Young to see the scheme with first-team speed, not scout-team speed. This would enable him to recognize the schemes quicker and to adjust the protections and his reads on the option.] I was seeing everything, ... I've never felt more comfortable at the line of scrimmage.

 He's just so creative in practice. He's one of the fastest, if not the fastest guy in college hockey. He's just got such a good sense of awareness and hockey sense. You've got to realize that he's young and it's tough coming in as a freshman. Even as good as you are, it's an adjustment. He's really caught on here the last couple of weeks and he's just going to get better as the season goes on.

 I asked a couple of guys if they could meet a challenge and they responded. It was a team hockey game, a team effort. A lot of people did a real fine job. That's what hockey is.

 From an offensive perspective, that's the hardest thing to prepare for - a team that can line up in 3-4 one down and then turn around and line up in a 4-3 the next down. That's a very effective scheme, and that's hopefully something we can present to our team to be able to utilize.

 Peyton Manning is doing things that I think no other quarterback in the history of the league has done at the line of scrimmage, ... I just think they are a team right now that's got a real chance to run the table.

 The sport has got all these incredible attributes, but the problem is the technology of television does not keep up with the speed of the game.

 If you saw these ladies in front of me, you would understand they're not petite. That's not in a bad way. These girls are strong girls. They're not gymnast size. They're 5-8, 5-9, 170 pounds and all muscle, strength and speed. I'll put these girls against anybody in terms of strength and speed.

 [David Branch] brought a real sense of professionalism to a minor hockey team. He obviously has picked up a lot as commissioner of the Ontario Hockey League, and he brought that to our team. He made us accountable.
