 She was more excited last night (than Tuesday) at practice because she got to walk on the floor.

 I was really excited about practice this week. Their enthusiasm this week got me excited to coach. I think you could see a lot of pieces of their hearts and guts out on the floor. Both teams were exhausting early with the hype and left everything out on the floor.

 Our kids are getting excited. The first home game is coming up and the community is getting excited as well. I don't want us to get too exited on a Tuesday, I want it to build up for Friday night. I think we're right where we need to be.

 We're going to get after it in practice and then be ready to go on Tuesday night. We're going to take a look at our injuries and see who can and can't go, and then go battle and try to get back up here next weekend.

 Will this test our motivation? Oh, yeah. The key in my opinion is what happens between now and (the end of practice at) 6 o'clock Tuesday night.

 Tuesday night is arguably the most competitive night on television and on the schedule. And Tuesday at 9 o'clock (EST), if you've noticed, is a very, very difficult time slot under the best of circumstances.

 Right now, the way we practice is really showing up on the floor. We're just excited how we're playing. We've just got to continue it.

 They originally talked about moving the prom to the night before either graduation or graduation practice, ... because if you don't show up to practice, you're not allowed to walk, which I thought was understandable. We'd have our prom, the next day show up to practice.

 We have a bunch of kids who just don't have the confidence to play here. They don't necessarily exude confidence when they walk out onto the floor. For one of the few times in the 20 years that I have been here, I walk out on the floor and I don't know that my team shares the same belief I do about how we are going to play and compete.

 I talked to them just before the match. I said hey I understand we're a young team. I've been patient and understanding with some of the high scores. We played really well (Tuesday) night. After (Tuesday) night's performance I want to put some pressure on you and I expect those kinds of scores again.' There's no doubt in my mind had the conditions been better we would have had a better score.

 Mike would spend the night at the house. We'd stay up late and then get up in the morning and go to practice. Everything he did just emulated exactly what I was doing out there on the floor and you see what he can do now.

 I'm not objectionable to it. In the beginning, we tried to do some extra stuff to make it attractive to the players, but now the indication is the guys want to come in on Tuesday night and play Wednesday in the pro-am as their practice round.

 Our girls got a little tired after that. We always tell them that practice should be hard and that games are the easy part. That's why we do it. We like to get up and down the floor a little bit and that showed [Friday night].

 There are a lot of mixed emotions going on. I'm still disappointed about [Tuesday] night's game, but at the same time, I'm excited and happy about going to Charlotte and making one of my ultimate goals in life come true.

 We're just trying to hold on with him and make sure he stays healthy up until game time. Thursday's his (practice) day. One practice and all the walk-throughs will be normal. Our walk-throughs are pretty extensive. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive.
