 If he throws like he has this spring training, to be honest with you, I think he'll keep going. He's been throwing the ball great.

 We knew in Spring Training he could throw the ball the way he's throwing it. When he got the opportunity, he did the job.

 He told me, 'I don't have trouble throwing strikes.' I thought he was throwing the ball great this spring. I really don't think it puts him behind, besides the fact that we can't use him. I think he's going to help us. I think he'll be fine.

 Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

 He's getting a lot more comfortable throwing the ball. His range is what it is. He has quick, good hands, but I think the throwing part was something he didn't appear to have a lot of confidence. Now, he doesn't hesitate. He picks up a ground ball and throws to second.

 I don't think its sets him back. He played winter ball so he had enough throwing. It could be a blessing in disguise. If you take a little break before spring training he could be strong after resting up. He'll have plenty of time to get ready.

 He's real accurate throwing the ball. He made great decisions in the spring game. Threw the ball away when nothing was there. Hit the open guy. Had the right read.

 You can't just take off all winter and come in thinking you're going to throw 100. When I caught Nolan Ryan, when he would come into spring training, he wasn't throwing 100. And that's when he was a legitimate 100. He'd start off 95 to 96, but by the end of spring there it is. Bobby is not far off.

 That's one thing he showed me this year in spring training. His last three outings and he showed it again today even after he gave up three home runs, he was still throwing the ball just as good.

 The great thing that's going to come out of this is, every game will be important. Spring training, you can go through the motions. Spring training is long, anyway. That's another reason why I think this is going to be good.

 We asked him to do a lot, and he did a lot, ... He made some great throws, some unbelievable, big-time throws that most guys couldn't make while getting hit. You take away two interceptions, and he probably would have been player of the week. The last one was just forced in there because of the situation, and the (Memphis defensive back) made a good break on the ball. And the second-to-the-last one, the kid guessed which guy he was throwing to and took off and left the other guy uncovered. Things happen. But we're going to try and cut down on those, obviously.

 My theory on him is that he's essentially still in Spring Training. He's behind, and he may have hit a little bit of that 'dead arm' phase. In general, he's throwing the ball better than he was when I saw him in January. It's consistent, he feels very good about it, his balance is good. It's a lot better than the films I've seen from last year.

 I know I'm not 25 anymore, I can't use my arm the way I used to. I've been working out this winter, but not for my arm. Everyone who knows me knows that's the reason I start slow in spring training. I can't just pick up a ball anymore and start throwing like it's the middle of the season.

 How he's handled his first Spring Training is amazing. He's a first-class guy, this is his first Spring Training and he's in the big-league locker room. He's a great guy to be around. I'm glad he's got the locker next to me. We talk a lot about the game and getting better.

 He's played well and ironically he looks great this spring. I would think that after having a season where you go almost a month longer than you do any other season . The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. .. he would have come to spring training and be a little bit slow. But he's actually looked better this spring than he did last spring.
