 Anyone close to our program knows the kind of kid and person he is. He knew a lot of the things that happened were his fault. He said he would fix it, and he did. I'm not sure I ever coached a player that spent as much time improving the kind of person he is as he did improving his basketball game.

 He's as tough a son of a gun as I've ever coached. As a person, he is just what you want. He represents the kind of person and player you want to build your program around. As a player, he has become one of the great shooters ever to play here. And his attitude is tremendous. His work ethic and dedication are off the charts.

 I've been improving in a lot of different areas. That's why I'm happy to get this award right now because the only thing that scares me in basketball is to stop improving, stop getting better. I always want to get better. Because I'm a versatile player, I have to work on all parts of my game.

 I was close to John simply because I liked him as a person. He liked me as a person. We spent a lot of times at one another's houses back in Liverpool. We spent a lot of time together in Germany.

 Things like that are things that open people's eyes about what kind of person (he is), where is he coming from, what kind of desire and what kind of heart does he have. Everybody thinks the world of him right now. Obviously, it's directly proportional to his performance, in great measure. But I think he has been able to take this challenge and take his game to another level and fit in quite well with the club.

 I mean, I don't think I was liked as a person. I was kind of seen as a black kid, young African-American, cornrows, drives fancy cars, wears diamond earrings, things like that. They just kind of based their perception off of what I drove and what I did and things like that. All those things were never a part of any other player on that team but me.

 The pressure was really high, ... It showed we can work for better things in the future. We are improving as time passes. The first game was not easy for us. It was a great disappointment. Now we are improving and let's see what we can do in the quarterfinals.

 I was never really liked in that city. I mean, I don't think I was liked as a person. I was kind of seen as a black kid, young African-American, cornrows, drives fancy cars, wears diamond earrings, things like that. They just kind of based their perception off of what I drove and what I did and things like that. All those things were never a part of any other player on that team but me.

 We really just love the draft - and when you love something as much as this, you have to get as much information as possible to do it the way you want to. And it became clear pretty early on that you can't rely on anybody else but yourself. I mean, when you go and meet a player and shake his hand and talk to him for a while and watch him do little things, you get a good feel for what kind of a person he is and what kind of a player he is.

 Nicole is our high energy person. She's our catalyst on the defensive end and on the offensive end. She's the kind of player that can create things - and we looked for her to bring a lot of energy to both sides of the basketball.

 It's early to guess, but I think in terms of our three tailbacks, I think Justin Vincent is going to have a banner year. He's unselfish. He's the right kind of person. He's improving, and I look forward to him having a great year.

 Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness. I would say that Lisa is kind of a natural for the Air Force. She's the kind of person who likes the discipline of that kind of life. She's very dedicated and a very level-headed person.

 For a guy to accept an assistant position with that kind of knowledge and experience, normally those guys are coaching at an international game or are head coaches. He's the kind of person that we're fortunate to have as part of our program.

 Both symbolically and also because of the job he did, ... No one person is ever at fault. I don't mean to imply that. But symbolically, it was necessary. FEMA in general has serious improving to do.

 He's an offensive player, he's a defensive player and if you here anybody out here screaming it's probably him. He is the kind of person that out of the blue will knock somebody's lights out to get everyone on the team fired up, and that is that kind of player he is on the field.
