 I've put these cold-weather packages on diesel trucks that run to Alaska. But they don't make these kits for pickups, so we built our own.

 A lot of small ponds that were isolated from the Gulf are now exchanging waters with the Gulf, ... lots of sand removal leaving the marsh exposed to the Gulf.

 The combination of cold winter weather and a potential stand-off in the Arabian Gulf in the event of a military strike on Iran is causing many oil analysts to expect $80 per barrel oil as early as this quarter.

 Obviously, we are doing a lot in Alaska, and depending on how you define the Arctic, we are doing a lot in Russia.

 We've been in a six-week pattern of warm temperatures, which is a normal span. Now, we're entering a new one and it's coming from the Arctic and Alaska.

 They have the highest probability of mixing with birds that are coming from England, across Greenland, to the eastern Canadian Arctic or from Russia into Alaska.

 However, except for two-thirds of the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska, the numbers are predicated on very, very old data, because we haven't done anything in the Atlantic, Pacific or eastern Gulf (of Mexico ). It's hard to tell you that any numbers are reliable,

 If anything, Katrina has spotlighted the increasing perils of our heavy dependence on oil. There is no prospect whatsoever that opening the Arctic Refuge and protected offshore areas to drilling would reduce the nation's energy supply and price vulnerabilities. Whether it comes from off America's coasts, from Alaska's Arctic via an aging aboveground pipeline, or from the politically unstable Middle East, oil is an increasingly vulnerable energy source. Heavy oil dependence leaves our economy wide open to price and supply shocks.

 The image problems Alaska faces, and the global misconceptions of Alaska, are as great today as when Alaska was mislabeled Seward's Folly.

 It was arctic cold, and everyone had a great time. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone.
