 That certainly was an important game for us, for a lot of reasons. We were sloppy at times offensively. The effort was really there and it was great to see. We've got some cobwebs to get out.

 Evan just played a great all-around basketball game. He did it on both ends of the floor. He probably had 10 or 12 rebounds. Offensively he was real poised and composed. He took advantage of mismatches at times and broke people down and got into the lane. I thought that was important for us offensively, as well. We attacked the bucket. We didn't settle for 3s all night. That was key.

 Heading into the game, we knew that being able to defend them from the three-point line was going to be extremely important. We did a great job of following through with that game plan. Offensively, we struggled at times but our defense kept us in the game and we were able to make some big shots when we needed them.

 Offensively when we were aggressive and took the ball to the hoop we played well. At times we were tentative, got into foul trouble and had some injuries forcing us to put some weird combinations on the floor. Those kids really stepped up and gave us great minutes. In playoff basketball it is so important to win with a team effort.

 Saturday's game was a little sloppy offensively, but our pitchers picked us up. Today, our pitching was sloppy, but the bats picked us up.

 We were sloppy at times offensively. Our turnovers have to come down. Twenty-nine is an epic number.

 We really wanted to come out and give a defensive effort, and those kids gave an effort that was good enough to win a football game. Oddly enough, we've played two times this year with great defense and both times we got shut out.

 Our boys played hard. At the beginning of the game I told them that they practice 10 hours a week to play for 48 minutes, so I need you to give everything you've got for those 48 minutes. In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

 I think we just relaxed a little bit. We know we've got a really physical game coming up, so it was important to get the cobwebs out.

 We didn't execute too well offensively against Brinkley. It was a sloppy game.

 What can you say, a great effort. We wanted to get this game for a number of reasons. It was like a 'family' win where everybody contributed.

 Colin had a great game for us, and their goalie also had a great game. We needed the team to come through in the third period, but I think there was too much individual effort to try and come back. Overall we played well, and the effort was there. We didn't lose the game due to lack of effort.

 We're going to have avoid being as sloppy as we were offensively today. I don't want to say we're going to have to play a perfect game, but we're going to need to be sharp. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness.

 There's a long way to go. We have to keep getting better. We can't be satisfied, but I don't think we are. This was just a great team effort all-around -- balanced offensively and a great defensive effort.
