 Three picks. That's 21 points they got, and 21 we didn't. That alone is Game Over. I just know one thing from my 12-to-13 years in arena ball, that you can't win if you're playing defense all of the time, and because of the turnovers, that seemed to happen in the first and third quarters.

 [Tech's defense was up to the challenge. It didn't allow any points on Maryland's drives after Vick's three third-quarter interceptions, and gave up just 45 total yards. Tech has given up three points off of five turnovers this season.] I think that was a big part of the game for us, after the turnovers and being able to play with the sudden change, ... It just gave a different look for the defense.

 Any time you lose, it feels bad whether it is by one point or by 20 points, ... You think about all the things that happened throughout the game. The turnovers, they are really sticking out in my head right now. Turnovers are going to happen, but we must minimize them. We must get back to the fundamentals. We have a veteran group of players on this team that has a lot of pride. We are embarrassed by the way we are playing. We put forth the effort, but we are just making too many mistakes. We need to fix these things and I am determined to fix them.

 For us it was turnovers. Every time we turned the ball over, they converted it into points it seemed like and that was hard to overcome. We knew going into the game, one of the keys was taking care of the ball and we didn't do that. The bottom line is they are bigger, quicker, more talented and a lot better.

 Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

 I was very happy with our defense. In three of the quarters they had four, five, and five points, and that's just us playing with a lot of heart and on Senior Night that was great for them. We were on the floor for every loose ball and we got after it.

 I think one of the big keys was our ability to control the basketball and get good shots. We were able to run some clock off and shoot a good percentage. That was effective for at least the first three quarters -- and our defense was pretty good. Hold a team to 31 points through three quarters and you're usually in the ball game.

 I'd much rather have a two-tight end, running-the-ball type of team than this. Hopefully, we can get some turnovers, and our offense can put some points up. Then we can be more patient. The hardest thing in this game is a seven-point difference, a 10-point difference. Then they can do a lot more stuff to you. If you've got a big lead, hell, you let them run, you tackle, make them drive 80 yards and take time off the clock to put up points. But to me, the only way you stop this team is you run out of time.

 I wish we could have played all four quarters like that. We've been relying on our defense to get us going by creating turnovers. We didn't do a good job of that to start with, but in the last part of the third quarter and the fourth we really clamped down and were able to take control of the game.

 We just didn't play championship-type football when we needed to. At some points we did, at some points we didn't, whether it's on offense or defense. Playing like that, we wouldn't even win a game in the playoffs. We've just got to re-evaluate a lot of things around here.

 We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.

 My points in this game came throughout the game. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. Usually I have big spurts in quarters either in the first or the second, but tonight it just seemed like my points were spread out through the whole game. We're finally starting to come together and play team defense and start to execute on our offense a lot better.

 The good thing is that we're knocking them loose. We're making it happen. But you've got to get turnovers. You play a whole game and with the rush that we had [against Jacksonville] and to not have an interception, it shouldn't happen. So there's some things that we still need to be better at. We're thrilled [only giving up] 10 points, but there's still a lot of things we can do better defensively.

 We had 15 turnovers for the game and we'll take that. It's when they happen. We were down 12 points at halftime, and they scored 18 off our turnovers. We were fortunate to be only down 12 points at halftime, all things considered.

 We didn't shoot the ball well, I know that, but at the same time, we know we have to play defense. That's the one thing that has been instilled in our program over the years. If we don't shoot the ball well, we knows that happens. We try not to get frustrated. We just try to play great defense on the other end.
