They're a good defensive gezegde

 They're a good defensive team. There weren't any easy shots today. Some people in the stands may not think so, but I thought we played well offensively. It was a battle of tempos.

 I thought we would be in for a battle. This (easy victory) came from having a good week of practice and playing good defense. We played our best defensive game of the year.

 This was a great win for us. I think we were anxious at first and rushed a bit. But we calmed down and played a great last 30 minutes. They're a very good team, ranked 19th in the RPI, so they're battle tested and very well coached. Their size and versatility make them hard to play against. I thought we did a good job offensively, especially running the clock at the end and getting great shots towards the end of possessions. Our defense still has a long way to go though.

 In the tournament, we've been an offensive juggernaut. We've been good. But that's not our team. We play D and we rebound. I think we got a little fooled from our first two games, because we played really well offensively, that we didn't have to bring it on the defensive end. I never talk about offense. I talk about D. So when those shots didn't go in today, I think we were a little stunned.

 Our shots weren't falling, but I thought our defensive effort was a lot better today. We understand that we've got to get better there, but today our offense wasn't there either.

 This was a defensive battle between two teams that pride themselves in defense. There weren't many open shots, and there weren't any transition baskets. And both teams, because of the defensive intensity, had trouble finding a rhythm.

 We were really ripe. You look at our stats, and they aren't much different. The difference was our defensive intensity, and their offensive efficiency. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. The thing I was happy with, at the end of the game, was that they were making shots, but they were tough shots, they weren't easy. They're a hard team to guard, when they're doing that.

 I thought well played well offensively. In order for us to go anywhere we have to play good team defense, we give up way to many open shots.

 You know it's going to be a low-scoring game and we missed way too many easy shots. Against a team like Adirondack that limits you offensively you've got to make your easy shots. Not making those shots just killed us in the long run.

 I thought in the first period we played pretty strong. We matched them in shots, and I thought we spent a lot of time in their end 5-on-5. They got a couple good opportunities on the power play, and ... it's always tough to battle back on a team like that. If we had a bounce here or there ...

 I thought our kids played hard. I thought they played hard in the first half and we gave them a battle. They just kept wearing on us and wearing on us. They're a good team. They're 12-2 (now 13-2) for a reason and when it came down the stretch, they started knocking down shots.

 We got off to a really slow start offensively. But I thought our defense made up for that and played really well and didn't give them any easy shots.

 I thought that we started with [defensive] good intensity. But it just seemed to me that when our shots are not going, it seems to affect us on both ends of the court. I thought tonight it affected defense as much as it did offense. We got great shots today -- we were not taking bad shots for the most part. But when they don't go down, it starts to affect what you do defensively.

 We played well on the defensive end all night. We did a good job pressing them in the half-court and limiting their shots and in return we got some easy shots inside.

 It was just one of them nights. I had easy shots, good shots, but they just weren't falling tonight. They played great defense, but it was more a personal matter for me.
