en This is an important milestone for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. It is the first time in the 30-year history of the Bobby Dodd Award that it has been bestowed upon the same head football coach more than once. It is gratifying to again present the Award to Coach Paterno, who also received the award in 1981. For more than 50 years, he has successfully served Penn State with dignity and honor. I can think of no other coach who best fulfills the stringent requirements we have set for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award.

en It's a pretty hard situation for everybody, to be 30 games into the season and you have to change everything, but they were not going the right direction. It was the only logical thing that was going to happen. We all feel bad for coach Weiss, but it was probably time for changes. Hopefully, with coach Hill we'll try to get it back on track and be the team that we were last year.

en To cement the legacy of coach Douglas, I'm pleased to announce publicly the creation of the Bobby Douglas Endowed Scholarship. One Cyclone wrestler will receive his scholarship aid under the name of Bobby Douglas forever. I must thank John Allen for his generous financial contribution to endow this scholarship and guarantee that Coach Douglas is celebrated annually through this endowment.

en Nate did a lot of talking, but it was just talk. Coach Weiss gets right to the point, tells us what he wants us to do, then we go out there and do it.

en I just made the goal to step up. My goal was to fill the spot that Brice Murphy left. Another big part was because of coach and the other guys on the team. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. Coach was pushing everyone to get in the weight room, get to open gyms and to shooting workouts in the morning.

en Most of the games I started at the three, but I played like 30 minutes at the power forward spot.

en There are a lot of things I could have done better to help this team. I take full responsibility. I feel I let Bob Weiss down as a coach. He was a guy you could trust and count on. My heart goes out to him.
