 We dug ourselves a hole because we were really flat the first half. We didn't get up and defend and when we don't defend we're not going to be successful.

 Obviously our defense wasn't very solid tonight, we can't give up 100 points to anybody and be successful. We came out flat in the first half and fought back in the second half but we dug ourselves a hole because we didn't get up and defend.

Again, you just can't play the one way all the time. If the team you play against can get in that mentality, then all they have to do is defend. If you can make opponents think, then defend physically, then think... that is what you are trying to achieve that with your team.

 We didn't defend the 3-point line. We just didn't defend, period. Any time two guards go off for 66 points, you're not playing defense. That speaks for itself.

 We just didn't defend well enough. We lost too many people in our zone, and we gave up too many good looks. Offensively we were fine. But we didn't defend.

 You knew Mountain State was going to make a run in the second half. But our goal was to defend and rebound early in the second half, and we didn't do that very well. Good thing we scored enough to make up for it.
