en You go from one standpoint where you're on all four (wheels) and looking at the front of the car to where you're looking straight down at the front of the car. At that point you realize you are in trouble. You are just along for the ride.

en Compared to yesterday the front-end was in bad state. During the race I felt some vibration and the bike didn't allow me to ride well. Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended.

en Bubba (Stewart) was in front of me and I followed for a lap and a half and then made a clean inside pass on him. I heard his bike revving wide open and saw his fender coming closer and then suddenly he crashed. It can't be fun to hit the mat as many times as he has this year. I think it comes down to learning to be patient.

en This guy pretended to date me and to prove it to his friend Michael, persuaded me to go for a bike ride where conveniently Mike would be.

en I thought his conditioning might be a bit off when he came back. I told him I wasn't going to watch him ride the bike. That was up to him. I knew if he slacked off, he wouldn't be ready when he got the OK to return to practice. You can see he must have been pretty serious about riding the bike.

en When you ride hard on a mountain bike, sometimes you fall, otherwise you're not riding hard. At the end of a good hour ride, the pavement was slick and the bike came out from underneath me, just like that person on the Tour de France the other day.

en Compared to yesterday the front end was in bad condition. During the race I felt vibration and the bike didn't allow me to ride well. Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended. The only thing we can do is to analyse the data to find the problem. This is a weekend to put in the archive and hope for a better performance at Phillip Island where I finished eighth last year.

en It's sort of like Dad took off one of the training wheels and is making sure that the bike is still balanced. And here we are, we're going to try and keep the bike on a clear path.

en Definitely it was quite fun. When it?s like that, the bike?s working, the bike has got grip, and the lap comes together, it?s a lot of fun to ride the bike like that. Really enjoyed it.

en The new bike has some good points and I'm happy at this stage but we need to work a little more on the front end. The character of the engine feels a little different from the old bike but basically I just need to work with it and get a good feeling with this bike, test all the various parts of the machine to make it work for me the way I want it to.
