 We had a lot of adversity this year. We met a lot of challenges this year, but we didn't meet this final one. We're very proud of the fact we've won 40 games in two years. We just skipped a lot of steps. We went from Step 1 to Step 10. Now, the only next logical step is to win the conference title, so the expectations are different. Everything was in place, and then the injuries came along.

 This colt's got some serious gears. He's really fast. He's the quickest Cal-bred I've ever trained.

 We've trained and trained and trained, preparing for this opportunity to do something special. But never in a million years did I think I was going to be sitting up here in this situation. It's just an unbelievable feeling.

 We would love for people to come out and watch it. The only thing we ask is for them not to bring unregistered dogs because these registered dogs have trained a long, long time for this.

 You don't have to train a dog as much as you have to train a human. During the show you see dogs that are super trained ... but they have issues. They attack humans or they have psychological issues. They're trained but not balanced.

 They feed off each other a lot, but it's a healthy feed. There's no animosity or jealousy or anything like that. They step up to the plate and show true sportsmanship, and that I think makes them better divers.

 I can say I trained these dogs, and I know that the dog will not make a mistake.

 The majority of dogs are trained on the Kong.

 It is not fair. Dogs are not born that way, they are trained to be that way.

 He's just a fast, fast horse. I know he's a New York-bred, but he's a well-bred New York-bred. He does everything right. He's got a real high cruising speed.
