en There are definitely spots available to be had by certain players. That 53rd, 52nd, 51st, 50th spots are still wide open.

en It's early and things will whittle themselves out. Players are competing for spots and minutes, and at the end of the day, the people who earn the spots are going to get it.

en A majority of our players can play different spots. That's going to help us out, because it's always better if you can play more than one position.

en I was behind in the count too much. Today was a tough game. I wasn't hitting spots good. I missed a lot of pitches and missed spots a lot of times. When you do that, you have to come right down the middle. That's why they hit the ball good today, because I was missing my spots.

en It's good for the defensive line. If the team is always in a certain position, they know where you're going to be. It gives us an advantage when we can move around and get into different spots.
