It's certainly a critical gezegde

 It's certainly a critical juncture in our season because we're in our first four games. We tend to break the season up into four-game stretches, and having gone 0-1 for in the first part of it, to finish up in the last three and do well is important to us.

 A lot of good things have come out of this season. We've grown a lot, guys have matured. There's definitely a positive outlook for next season. This game is very important. Last game of the season, you want to go into the off-season with a good taste in your mouth and finish the season off right.

 In the early part of the season we found a way to lose most of these games. It's nice to win it to finish the season.

 Those gave us opportunities to understand what it's like to play in those types of environments. . . . A lot of games throughout the course of the conference season . . . are going to come down to the final four minutes of the game. Having the ability to finish and close the deal is going to be very important to our ability to be successful in the conference season.

 I have been suffering with this condition for much of the season and it has become more acute over the past 10 days. The doctors have informed me that without immediate attention that this condition will only become more serious and permanent. I hate to step away from the team at such a critical juncture of the season, but I believe that I have to take measures now to correct these health issues.

 You go into a season expecting to contend for the Cup every year. We have a lot of positives on our team. We can't have any big letdowns in the season. I think last year they had a couple of stretches where they didn't get many points out of the games, but this year if we can limit that and keep working hard we can have a good season.

 We had some tough stretches in the middle of our season, but I'm proud of our improvement. We won some exciting games at the end of the regular season to build momentum for the tournament.

 I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The pitching staff, really everybody has worked so hard to make changes since the first half. We're going to finish the season close to .500 and that was the goal. Finish .500 and finish positive.

 Before the season, we said there were going to be two tough stretches -- being on the road so much early and this one, where we are playing 10 games in 10 different cities leading into the break. We knew it would be tough. We're just trying to grind our way through.

 Our season is riding on this game. The guys have worked real hard all year to get to this place. From where we were at 5-6, it's pretty remarkable. All of that being said and as great as these last four games have been, if we don't get this one, it would be tough to end the season that way. We have to realize how critical this is.

 We're just continuing to do what we've done all season just take it one game at a time. Obviously, it's an important game coming up. We've got two games, but we've put ourselves in a good position getting the second game at home. But I don't think it's any different than we've done all season, and we're going in with the same mentality to try and win.

 We had goals in here where we wanted to be when this break started and now we have goals set for the last part of the season. It's gonna be important to get off to a big start. We have five games at home and want to use it to our advantage. We had goals in here where we wanted to be when this break started and now we have goals set for the last part of the season. It's gonna be important to get off to a big start.  If we could have put our finger on it, we would have done it right then and there. I think it's always a combination of things. He got smoked [by the Crawford liner], and that didn't help. His fastball and his slider, for whatever reason, ran together for a period there and took away some of his effectiveness. And then to top it off, he had a bad game in Chicago that everybody remembers. I tend to remember that we also had a guy that pitched in the All-Star Game. The whole season counts. I know everybody remembers how you finish, and it's important, but we've still got a pretty good pitcher.

 We still have a chance to have a special season, there's no question in my mind. In order for us to finish up the season the way we have to, we have to eliminate some of those inconsistent moments, because pretty soon every game becomes important, and if you have an inconsistent game, you go home.

 At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.
