 When we started the season, we knew this team would have trouble shooting free throws. And we did all kinds of things to try to take the kids' minds off it. If it's on the score and the clock -- 'I hope I make it,' and all those kinds of things -- you're probably in trouble.

 I knew I had to make those free throws for us to win the game. I felt good shooting those free throws.

 It's like a dream you had that was almost real. I remember sitting at the free-throw line shooting two free throws. I was thinking, I don't care if I miss it or not, I'm going with my form.

 His freshman year, he blew a game shooting free throws. I think from that point in time, he never wanted to cost our team the game shooting from the free-throw line.

 I knew that there was a lot of time left still in the fourth quarter when everyone was kind of relaxing. So, when there was a minute left and we started to make our free throws, I knew that we could do this.

 Free throws, free throws, free throws. We were short-handed and we couldn't sub as much as we wanted to. That's when we decided to go with Matt. We knew he could step in there and knock down some big shots.

 I think our bench really played well and we started to wear them down some. They started to come back, but we made clutch free throws down the stretch. That was the key.

 We knew it wasn't going to be easy, playing on their floor and with them shooting nearly 40 free throws to our nine, but we still had a chance.

 We knew Spaulding was a real good team. We knew that for somebody to win the state championship they would have to beat them.

 Ben works on it a lot, ... We do a lot of shooting as a team, 15-, 17-foot shooting, which is basically free throws. We shoot probably 100 of those a day. So he's getting a lot more free throws.

 We shoot a lot of free throws toward the end of the year. I tell the girls every year I coach that free throws win basketball games. They always do. We knew we didn't want to run with Camden and we didn't want to press them. We knew what they wanted to do.

 I knew we could do it. People might not believe us when we say we knew we could do it when the season first started, but there was just something about this team, starting last summer when everybody was here, that it just felt like it was going to be a special season.

 Stagg is a well coached team. We went to a trap and they adjusted and then we went to man-to-man and they adjusted again. I had hoped we could get a cushion because you knew they would come back. Williams did it when Rush wasn't shooting well lately, but they were on him and didn't give him many good looks. But when he started to score, it opened up things for the others.
